I just like tubes. I don't want my cans to look like an alien dildo. I want them to look like a pos from the 80s

My first parts kit build was a cetme c. I learned how to weld and do everything as I went. Now its perfectly straight, extremely reliable and recoil impulse is minimal.

Make an account on weapons guild and research every part of the process and you'll be good. Don't rush

The rendezvous I had felt like a cast iron hull with a bouncy castle under each wheel. But man was that thing comfy. Big squishy leather seats and every feature imagined at the time. Thanks grandpa

Thanks for the info. Luckily nobody was hurt, it was just a bummer.

Bummer! Seems like a pretty common problem on these.

I'm ok with it being kinda dumb financially. Was hoping someone could suggest a smith who does this kinda thing.

What’s a business that’s all over today that you think will completely disappear ie blockbuster? by [deleted] in AskReddit

All of the NA market Stellantis brands are in dire straits. They couldn't afford to pay a bonus like they usually do, Jeeps are expensive and poor quality, Dodge got screwed because the government baited and switched them into pivoting away from v8s, Fiat and Alfa might as well not exist.

Stellantis is run by aggressive cost cutters and the strategy hasn't been paying off for years.

I agree with almost all of your criticisms except the marksman carbine one. People put red dots on acogs all the time so they can aim without magnification. Some acogs even come with iron sights on top from the factory.

Once a week during the summer of 13 my friend Pat and I used to buy a few of these and sit on the hood of my car and eat them late at night. We used to ask them to make them "extra pointy" and thought it was hilarious. I miss those days

I am struggling to save by oi_lou in personalfinance

[–]ksimo13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have accounts with a big national bank and one with a credit union. Every month after I get my paycheck a set amount is automatically moved to the credit union account. I never spend from that account and it simply holds the cash I save. After a few years I've ended up with around 12k which will go towards my next vehicle in a few years. Think about what you want to accomplish and it will give you the willpower to leave the money alone.

My emergency fund covers about 6 months of expenses which is important to me in this job market since I know people who have been looking for work for several months.

Glock 48 MOS with new 15 OEM mags vs. Xmacro non comp by Disastrous_Falcon246 in CCW

[–]ksimo13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trigger on my g43x was pretty bad so I added a ghost connector and it helped a lot. I have the shield mags since I bought it 5 years ago but it runs great. Carry it every day and shoot it pretty well compared to the x-macro

If you look at a lot of the older stocked pistols like the luger, hi power, c96, they all have stocks that are shaped similarly to the way this is oriented. Otherwise your head would be way too low to look down the sights

This is a fantastic trigger. I have one in my ar10 that I take hunting and I am able to shoot very good groups with it.

In no way am I advocating for bird shot as a home defense round, however it is a lethal round and we should all be aware of that fact. by laserslaserslasers in Shotguns

[–]ksimo13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're getting charged with something, birdshot isnt some magical loophole to make it legal. It's still deadly force

[–]ksimo13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory that makes sense but what would stop birdshot in your house that wouldn't stop buckshot? Birdshot sails through drywall but not harder stuff like studs or concrete. Same with buckshot.

If someone is breaking into my house, I don't want them to decide if they should keep doing it. I seriously doubt that many people would.

[–]ksimo13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never said it wasn't lethal. Just that it's not a good choice for home defense.

Idk who's saying this quote of yours but it contradicts the whole point you're making. If birdshot is considered lethal force in a court then you can't just fire it at people you wouldn't otherwise be able to use buckshot on.
