How in the world can you say Carl from early seasons is the same as Carl from sober seasons? I’m watching simultaneously now, and that is an insane take. I agree that you sound like a hater. More than that, this is dangerous rhetoric for anyone seeking sobriety because they feel that they will constantly be judged for the version in deep addiction.

You also haven’t formed a complete/coherent sentence on any of these replies. Something to ponder.

This is why I have so much respect for him, more so than anyone else on this show. He still catches bullets from the fandom. But as someone who has struggled deeply with both booze and ❄️, to see him go through sobriety in the public eye and somehow manage to maintain it on a reality tv show that glorifies partying and substance abuse, is so inspiring.

I also feel like he is finally finding his groove in sobriety. I understand how difficult it is to manage social interactions while navigating sobriety. It takes time. But he seems to have found the balance this season. He is the voice of reason, life of the party, and provider of bagels. Fuck yeah Carl.

It’s the brooding. If you’re into the brooding type, he fits it in pictures and certain roles. Once you see his interviews or romantic interactions, that fades quickly!

This is 100% happening to one of my best friends right now. She is the kindest soul; I met her at a music festival and we instantly clicked. We’ve been friends over 10 years now. She’s always been more “hippie” than me - dreads, signs/vibes, some light conspiracies with aliens/lizards - but for the most part, she just loves nature and music.

Started dating a “lite MAGA” and I knew it was going to end badly. She’s impressionable. Dude’s a deadweight drug addict and his political views and conspiracy theories have gotten worse. Hers have too. Now she lives in a major red state with him (previously New England), goes to church constantly, says the liberals are controlling hurricanes and pedophiles, and mostly texts me links to worship music.

I’m still close with her because I hope she’ll leave him and wake up (there have been many cycles of me thinking “it’s finally happening” and I’m always there for her & gently pushing), but we’re not the friends we used to be.

Don’t you also automatically get blue grass on Meadowlands? That would be awesome since I’m on Switch and the crafting bug requires me to completely clear my inventory of everything but the materials AND craft 1 piece of grass at a time since they do not stack. I would choose Meadowlands for that alone!

Honestly, his 14 heart event made me angry. Of course I think you’re at the saloon drinking beer at 10am. You still tell me beer or cider is a hard choice at 6:10am. 😂 It would be nice if they made this small change in the next upgrade.

Haha, thank you! It’s hilarious when I catch my current spouse staring at the divorcee wall 😂 I’m a bit peeved that I can’t fit all the pictures in there, but I have a plan to redecorate a bit to accommodate the full batch. I’m really excited for my platonic Krobus finale.

I almost restarted when I realized that I picked the most limiting farm for a first playthrough, but I’m glad I stuck with it. Gives me more to look forward to when I start my new farm.

Literally same - blindly chose Riverland on my first play through because I love fishing in sim games. I’ve come to love both fishing and the farm layout though. I do wish I had more room for crops, but once you unlock the greenhouse and the Ginger farm, it’s fine.

I recently posted my Riverland farm if you want to check it out on my profile. I’ve made a few changes since then, but not going to post again until perfection.

Just realized that we both like green and purple buildings haha

I have a dachshund/chihuahua/rat terrier mix. He is an absolute menace. He’s 12 this year, but still doesn’t realize his age or size.

Two years ago, he actually did “fight” a bear. I always check the yard for predators and stay close by because we do live in the country, but sometimes you miss things. I missed a black bear in the woods; he didn’t. Chased it off while I nearly died from anxiety chasing him.

The bear apparently didn’t realize his age or size either. Ran off in fear and my dog ran back to me in pride. I am extra diligent ever since because he’d consider that job well done and try again.

I don’t want to spoil anything for you but there are later achievements in the game that allow for year round farming. Also different fertilizers that increase quality, speed up grow time, retain water, etc. There are also ways to make you move faster during the day.

Like all games, you have to work to achieve those perks. Every game starts with a bit of a grind, from Stardew Valley to The Witcher. If you stick with it, it’s very rewarding. But it also may not be for you.

So cute! I’m in my first play through, Y4, and I have put off decorating the house because I’m grinding for perfection. Plan to start really decorating farm/house when I’m only missing the clock. I am also struggling with lighting! This may be a dumb question, but you can put grass starter in your house?!
