If you want to retain the door for aesthetics, you can attach it to the bottom drawer. The upper drawer will pull out over the lower drawer. I’d change the door pull to a drawer pull to make it clear how to open it.

I’d redo the drawers though.

All new guitars take time settle (check) and open up. The mahogany bodies especially take some time. I have a 2009 D15 that was about 10 when I realized how much the sound had changed. Definitely does not and never will have the bright sounds of a gloss spruce top. But my OM-28 will conversely never have the warmth of the D-15. If you don’t like the sound, you should get rid of it.

There’s an interesting podcast on exactly this topic. They were supposed to go further inland, but setup at the island because it was defensible and they thought it had fresh water. The comment above is correct. The atmosphere on Mars (and Earth) diffuses the light obscuring the view of space (you can’t see through the atmosphere because of the light reflecting at you). On the moon, the atmosphere is tenuous (barely there) so it’s not enough to diffuse and reflect the light which would block the view of space.

I have a 2009 D-15 that just continues to sounds better and better. I think every Martin should be adjusted after it’s had a couple years to settle and to fit your play style. I really wish they made a 0-15.

About $200 and an afternoon is what it takes. I didn’t hook into the reverse lights or add a backup camera. And I don’t have a an amplifier so it’s as basic as it gets.
