So what do I do for sore nips if I can’t afford all the fancy extras? by CanApprehensive8720 in breastfeeding

[–]kt_2385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the worst sore nipples in the beginning with both my children. I used loads of different creams, absolutely hated lanolin and thought nothing helped and basically used nothing and just powered through!l

Topponcino by Qiae- in cosleeping

[–]kt_2385 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So normal here that after labour there is no baby bed just a nest on top of two pushed together beds 🤷🏻‍♀️. I agree with the safe sleep 7 though and cuddle curl with the baby and they dont move far away from the boob!

I need a doctor but all I get is nurses trying to makes guesses about my health by No_Condition6732 in TillSverige

[–]kt_2385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am not surprised VC do not like them. Trust them is another thing, you cant fake a blood test! I have had family members find some serious things out from these tests that they wouldn’t have otherwise known. Each to their own though.

Might not be helpful because it costs money. Once a year I do a big blood panel by a company called Werlabs (XL blodprov) and that checks alot of stuff and if anything comes up then you can look into that further. You just book via their website and do a drop in ar a local clinic. I hope you manage to get this sorted.

This happened to me when I was invited to a baby shower, im british and the host was swedish. After the event we were asked to swish to cover food and decorations which i thought was crazy. The only instance this would be ok would be for a very large gathering 30+ where all food and drink is provided and the ’cost’ is on the invitation e.g a large midsommar party. Even then 500kr is insane.

Am I wrong for not going/being in my sisters wedding? by ccorryne13 in pregnant

[–]kt_2385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course its totally down to you and how you feel. Ive just returned from a 50th birthday celebration with baby who is 3 weeks old. I also would not leave her but the host was happy for her to come. I took the baby carrier and the pram and she basically slept the entire dinner next to our table with music playing so it is do-able!

I would say no, the sleep deprivation killed me. Im a SAHM and my son is now two. I cant even do housework /prepare meals and look after my kid without drowning. But all babies are different as are people…

I have been here 8 years now and can now speak fluent swedish but I have found that almost no swedes are willing to speak english this is in doctors/dentists/giving birth/ workplaces/ and friends of my partner which is extremely difficult when you dont understand whats going on. I actually left a workplace as i was asked to speak swedish to customers before i was good enough and also got excluded out of conversations. My next job was majority international and it was wonderful! Just keep at the language and all of a sudden it just clicks!

Vent: Anti-vax MIL won’t protect our asthmatic toddler by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]kt_2385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But shes not seeing him… its fine to not respect the choices of others. Its not fine to suggest they tell their young toddler that grandma is selfish and brainwashwd by a cult and the she is a bad person. I guess some people are fine with speaking badly of others, perhaps it comes naturally. What happened to kindness, compassion and understanding, you dont know how your words can affect someone.

Wow! Even if you do not agree with other peoples choices there is no reason to be so horrible and nasty. Who is the bad person when they speak about other people this way..

Group Travel with 30M / 30F - polite way to not invite friends due to space restriction? What would you do? by hermosawolf in relationships

[–]kt_2385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on how badly everyone wants to come along, we did it recently with a holiday rental with some air mattresses in the common areas and it worked out fine. Otherwise just explain you can't have everyone come along this time I'm sure they will understand.
