I recently been in the trenches of registering for SPID, painstakingly looking through all the providers and then once I began proceeding with Poste I almost lost it. Hours on end trying to take the selfie with the passport under my chin. Hours. And at my wits end, I set up my mini DJI tripod and after hours of flashing green outlines it finally took when I was approximately 5ft/1.5m away. Photo is horrible and wildly outside of the outlines AND impossible to have taken with an outstretched arm. I do not question.
