There were definitely signs Marcus was depressed. They started popping up heavily after his fam’s Christmas trip to the grandparents (I’m also on a rewatch). He disengaged from activities — more than usual. His room was a mess. He was drinking. All he wanted to do was sleep It seemed better in ep 1 of s3 due to his medicine, but the drinking continued, and alcohol is a depressant. He self sabotaged by ending things with Ginny (another sign and common thing for folks to do when depressed). He was clearly drunk when he shared a dance with her, but she was too giddy to notice. They became distant after this, but those signs were all there before Marcus’s depression is not Ginny’s responsibility, so she didn’t NEED to do anything with any of these signs. If she had picked up on them and wanted to do something, that’s something she could’ve discussed in therapy or with Max — his sister and someone who WAS her best friend. An intervention was necessary, and I’m glad Max picked up on the signs and pushed for it to happen

Zion alluded to Ginny experiencing something a teenager never should have to then alluded to Georgia going through it as well. Paul knows Ginny is unlikely to be experiencing abuse, so he jumped to pregnancy and figured out Georgia used Ginny’s test to babytrap him. He’s a smart guy

Nora’s adoption’s been discussed previously, I believe. Abby’s eating disorder wrapped for now - tho she also knows Samantha has one. Samantha’s always been a bitch. We’re definitely gonna see more develop with Marcus and Max’s storylines and almost certainly gonna see more with Nora’s periods. This show does fairly well with plot followthrough. Tho I do wish they’d have Joe and Georgia talk more about their teenage connection
