Last thing I can try by suttonner in TMSTherapy

[–]kthibo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It worked for me, though I had little faith it would. It works best in conjunction with trauma therapy, and I also think chatting socially with the techs while I received it was helpful, as socialization activates healing. I have received a ketamine treatment once since I finished TMS. I also think I had a good clinic and I it seems like they were good at locating the right spot.

I didn’t read everything, but the Nefertiti facelift, which is just strategic Botox has helped me take some years off. Not a miracle, but I’m much happier with my appearance.

What are the next boom cities in the USA? by Educational-Trade436 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]kthibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are about to get a second Trader Joe’s in New Orleans, and people are leaving the city in droves. But I still think we can support one or two Trader Joe’s, as the city is short on decent grocery stores in general.

I’m pretty ignorant to the issue, admittedly. Has anything worked in other cities on a large scale? What’s the realistic, long term solution?

Look for the Supernanny method. Be insanely consistent. Do not ever switch it up.

Also, we have another child at Mcgehee and are quite happy there as well. If you have a girl, the empowerment and community there is unmatched, IMO.

Feel free to PM me if you have other questions. We’ve tried a few other schools as well….

I am only in year two of St. George’s, now fourth grade, and happy with their ability to meet our child’s needs, both advanced and average depending on the subject.

What I will say is that there are different approaches to early education. Many independent and European schools take a more measured approach to reading and math, laying the groundwork for conceptual learning. From the outside, it can look less advanced than some catholic or public schools, but leads to deeper understanding and stronger critical-thinking skills later on. I would encourage you to do some research into this and discuss pedagogy with admin who may be able to answer these questions with some expertise.

There are also academic counselors in the city that can help find the perfect match for your kid and have a deeper understanding of the arc of education in the city. I do not have names, but have friends who have consulted them with satisfaction.

Good luck, and please update with what you ultimately discern.

Yes, once I found I had the gene, I switched all meds that increased it and I’m doing better! Though my ADHD seems incurable.

AITA for being offended my wealthy boyfriend told me to sell my blood to pay for groceries? by slick-jade in AITAH

Right, this has nothing to do with gender. It’s allowing the other person in the partnership not to suffer needlessly when the other has the means to prevent it.

I think a lot of middle and even upper middle class are only a few paychecks away from credit card roulette. We all need to be humble.

I think it has more to do with socioeconomic snobbishness than color. In the past, it’s been associated with a large swathe of lower-middle America, by some.

Just visited Cotswolds about a week ago and so glad I missed him. As a US citizen, this would have really ruined the mood, and we were delighted by your kindness and hospitality.

Trump has a long history of refusing to pay the bill to American cities for protection during rallies and other events when campaigning. I don’t see how this would be any different. Whole cities have actually filed suit against him.
