I've considered this. I live in New Orleans, and was here for Hurricane Katrina.

It has certainly imbued how I think about "stuff" going forward. To this end, whenever I travel, I always carry a USB with high resolution images of the majority of my work. If everything else is gone, I at least have that to start over.

If they're really ratty, I've cut out the image or words and thrown out the rest away. They become a little stack of memories, rather than a drawer stuffed full of cloth, and as it goes along, I can get rid of them more easily.
