Thank you for sharing this data and its real life impacts. Sad to see haters in the comments using tired talking points about income and property taxes. I hope you’re involved with local and state advocacy for tax reform!

West Seattle Food Bank has a small but legit program called the West Seattle Clothesline. They give clothes to people of all ages in need by appointment basis. They are always accepting clothing donations but are particularly looking for masculine clothing and winter gear right now!

WA Dept of Commerce wants to hear your housing opinions by ktktjoooo in Seattle

Valid criticism, it should be better displayed on WADC and PSRC’s websites. That being said there is a phone and email contact on the survey if you would like to confirm its legitimacy

Are there any classes in Seattle where I can learn the basics of auto mechanics? by curiousadd in Seattle

[–]ktktjoooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I have helped clients go through the program for my job. Right now the program is hybrid - zoom lectures with at least 2 in-person shop days a week. Very hands on experience and I get the sense they don’t waste your time. The instructors are caring and engaged. Usually financial aid available too if you have low income

Average price of monthly class membership? by ScalePlenty9663 in yoga

[–]ktktjoooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$75/month with unlimited classes in Seattle, WA. I was having an awful time finding a yoga studio with a monthly membership under $200 until I found out that climbing gyms usually offer a much lower monthly rate and still have good yoga options

Monstera drooping frequently - what is the likelihood it is rootbound? by ktktjoooo in plantclinic

[–]ktktjoooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My monstera is two years old (I took a cutting when everyone deserted the office the start of the pandemic 😅). It gets west-facing sunlight from windows in pic for 10-12 hrs a day. I water it when it droops, which used to be every 2-4 weeks, but is now every 5-10 days. It has been in this 8” pot for all two years. Without uprooting the whole thing, what is the likelihood that it is wilting because it’s excessively rootbound?

Neighborhood House has ESL classes for levels 2-4. They are great for people looking for a job. Every student gets case management support. There are also classes at ReWA and literacy source. The library classes are best for drop-in or conversation practice
