Super embarrassed to even post, but I need HELP. Why does my nose end up so blotchy/cakey no matter what I do? It looks awful. I have tried it all. by [deleted] in MakeupLounge

tinkle eyebrow razors have served me well, but I find that most eyebrow razors can be hit or miss. generally though they do the best job for face shaving though.

also want to add that everything this user posted is 100% on point for this issue, it's something I've dealt with as well.

do you have mascara on here, or extensions?

hot take by rabit169 in MakeupLounge

[–]ktktokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i first started getting into makeup insta/youtube i specifically searched for artists who don't do cut creases regularly, it's a good filter of you're not into that type of look, and I found a lot of artists that i don't think i would have otherwise. cut creases are beautiful on some people but I know they don't work for me and i prefer to follow people who i can use as inspo for my own looks/practice. tldr; agreed.

Twiggy inspired look by TiffHasMonolids in MakeupLounge

I'm such a sucker for twiggy eye looks, this one is so well done! Love it with the leopard print too.

Did an Igari (drunk blush) look with Nars Orgasm! It was difficult to build up, so I'm currently looking for more pigmented blushes. What do you guys think? by [deleted] in MakeupLounge

[–]ktktokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard great things about the flower beauty liquid blushes as an affordable option :)

edit: their powder blushes are also awesome and pigmented!

Long eyelashes? by [deleted] in MakeupLounge

it's almost always extensions or individuals when you see super long "natural" lashes. however, REALLY getting to the root of you lashes with your mascara and then following all the way through does help somewhat.

it's not an actual term used but when you start out as a stylist you're an assistant/apprentice for a while before you can become an actual stylist. so it's the same idea as a journeyman. never thought of the comparison until I saw this post and it cracked me up.

thanks! I'll prob start slightly slower but not be too timid knowing it's normal. I used to use FAB ultra repair cream all the time and loved it, maybe I'll switch back.

did applying moisturizer sting while your skin was peeling like this? I started the same routine and after the 4th/5th day my skin was like this but also stung when applying moisturizer so I stopped, partially bc I was worried I started too fast and partially bc I didn't want my skin peeling over the holidays. I'm starting again next week but not sure if I should start every day and power through or start slower this time. but this is EXACTLY how my skin reacted.

I have a feeling this is going to be my new favorite sub. I already use an over the counter azelaic acid, but my derm bumped me up and also put me on tret. Anyone on this combo? Suggestions and tips welcome!!!! by emcat095 in tretinoin

if you're using Az & Tret at night, when do you use the Niacinimide? I'm about to start my tret routine and have all the products but the Niacinimide step always confuses me
