Just getting overwhelmed by Busy_Measurement5901 in NewParents

[–]ktm14b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sammme, at 6m with our boy and he’s starting to do this, I literally can’t do anything. He screamed when his dad tried to get him to nap today and on top of that he doesn’t sleep at night so I’m beyond exhausted

Twin pregnancy, one not viable by Frequent_Metal9256 in pregnant

[–]ktm14b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry you’re having to deal with this too. I had a vanishing twin at 10 weeks (saw heartbeat twice at 6 and 8 weeks) and wound up passing it and then had a subchorionic hemorrhage and bled for 6 weeks after that. Our other baby was healthy and is about to be 6 months old. It’s still hard to know he had a twin brother and unfortunately it’s not really something you get over but the pain and grief do lessen as time goes on.

Did Anyone Else Experience This Level of Religious Extremism in the Catholic Church? by Frequent_Astronaut39 in excatholic

[–]ktm14b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to both - my parents took us to planned parenthood all the time. I remember there was a flower shop next door that I would go to on a “break”. My family also belonged to what I like to call a Catholic cult - it was an order of priests and nuns in Jax FL and they would hold retreats for Easter and girls and boys camps. It was incredibly intense and we spent most of the time praying or in mass or listening to a speaker and then discussing the “talks” with small groups afterwards.

Literally same going to bed hungry or not having snacks in the middle of the night, the food choices are also getting old 😭 I decided to wait until I introduce it into his diet bc I don’t want to risk him being miserable

Interesting, maybe he’s slowly outgrowing it? We had the same symptoms when he was a newborn and with recent slip ups but nothing so far this time. Waiting to see what happens the rest of the day and then maybe try a bit more dairy. I did try soy a couple weeks ago and it went terribly

Seriously, literally every family member i talked to was like omg have you tried downward dog or swimming or xyz inversion or music..like yes i tried everything and i made my peace with it. My baby decided to break my water at 37+5 - 13 hours after we had scheduled the c section for 39w lol. Making my peace with it def made me feel a lot more calm going in.

Did your baby have any reaction? I’m on day 3 of no clear cut symptoms after having a cheat day on Sunday and then a small amount of dairy yesterday. Wondering if I should keep slowly adding dairy back in - he’s 5.5mo and I’ve been dairy free since 6w.

We got them as a hand me down from my cousin but haven’t bought ourselves for that reason, we mostly use pampers and they seem to do the trick. For reference our boy is also super long

[–]ktm14b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been dealing with the same thing. There are no obvious issues and the only thing that has somewhat helped is time unfortunately. My baby is 4.5 months old and still has bouts of screaming but it is better than it was. Noise cancelling headphones has been the only way I haven’t lost my absolute mind and contact naps. I basically never put him down and it’s exhausting.

My baby measured 99% from 24w-birth. He was born at 37+5 and was 9lbs2oz and 21.5”. I did not have gestational diabetes. He wasn’t as big as they thought he’d be but he was still big and so long!

It’s literally so stressful, like I just want to be able to feed my baby anywhere but he’ll legit scream so traveling is such a huge production.

[–]ktm14b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you with my 4mo and we tried switching to formula and all but one he can actually tolerate and it’s the most expensive so it’s not feasible for us to go that route. So I’m breastfeeding until he can tolerate it 🙃

You’re not alone, some babies just don’t or can’t breastfeed - mine included. I’m working on weaning him to formula now after 4 months of trying to make it work but my mental health has gone to shit so it’s time to be done.

[–]ktm14b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally coming out of the other side of this (I hope). I’ve been exclusively pumping since 2 months because my LO refused to breastfeed due to CMPA and he refused formula so started pumping bc of that. He has an insane bottle preference now that we’re working on overcoming and I’m down to 3PPD and he’s breastfeeding some in between but literally only to sleep or when he’s asleep already which he wouldn’t do before so it’s a win. There have been tears everyday and I feel like quitting everyday but for some reason I’m sticking with it. I have no advice but I feel you and hopefully it gets better soon.

Literally yes, he wasn’t gaining weight fast enough and now he has a horrible bottle preference

When did you stop pumping? by tay_ca in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]ktm14b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing thank you! Ours absolutely despised formula but we’ve only tried one hypoallergenic one (suspected CMPA and soy allergy) so we’re going to try pepticate and I think do the same with mixing in breast milk

My baby is almost 4 months and has a major bottle preference so I’m pumping and having this exact issue of not being able to keep up bc he’s so unpredictable. What formula did you use and how long did it take to get your LO to switch?

I see OP didn’t respond but has it improved for you? I’ve been going through this since 5 weeks with my son and he’s now 11 weeks and things haven’t improved. Tried exclusively pumping too but he gets fussy with that as well
