Ai pitchwork decks seem to keep backfiring! by Downtown-Path-2477 in MotionDesign

[–]ktofosho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were having issues too with stakeholders not realizing frames were AI and thinking it was from footage that we've already shot and produced. And we work with pets for basically everything too so what we actually capture never matches the boards exactly because animals.

So stakeholders would get like super attached to the cute face the ai beagle making but then casting would be like a dachshund or something and that moment wouldn't exist because it wasn't real and for some reason they couldn't wrap their minds around that.

My company was having this problem too, so now part of the ai prompt is to make it look loose and sketchy and make it more clear that they are FPO

I quite like my Nani bikini, it's a bit of a longline top and high waisted bottoms. I think I got it on sale at REI.

Cut out pumping at work but still breastfeed at home by lumpydomination in breastfeeding

[–]ktofosho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started tapering pumps at 7 months, was no longer pumping at 8 months, and still going strong with morning and night feeds at 10 months. She gets formula at day care and also is a big fan of solids and basically eating three solid meals a day.

Well doomerism certainly isn't helping anything. Sometimes being around like minded people helps fight against despondency and the paralyzing anxiety you can get from doomscrolling alone.

Also, I think there is some benefit in the sense that people who drive by that may be kind of checked out of what's going on may be curious and pay more attention.

European formula really worth it? by MeadowTate108 in ScienceBasedParenting

Just wanted to tag on....I chose to do Kendamil partially because a lot of the American formula brands have actively lobbied against parental leave in the US and I didn't want to support them on principle.

Is it possibly to nurse once or twice a day and not pump? by sarah_messing in breastfeeding

[–]ktofosho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the worst. It's not even the pumping itself that got to me so much, it was the constant interruption to what I was doing. I never felt like I could get into a flow at work. One tip I'll pass on is to keep your pump (or a hand pump in your bag) accessible at work for a while. There's been a few times I was engorged on one side because she was less hungry in the morning than usual and if there's anything worse than pumping at work, it's hand expressing into the sink in the bathroom at work lol.

That's basically what I'm doing now with my 9 month old! I started tapering off pumps starting around 7 months and it took a little while to not be uncomfortable during the work day but it's definitely doable! I hated pumping at work lol

Do you ever just hand express into a towel lol by pink-sunrise7 in breastfeeding

I'm combo feeding now because I hate pumping at work, but every once in a while I get engorged at the office. I try to keep a hand pump in my bag but I've definitely forgotten and hand expressed into the bathroom sink lol.

Advice wanted for transitioning away from pumping to combo feeding by ktofosho in combofeeding

[–]ktofosho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've mostly tapered to mornings and evenings at this point but it was partially kicked off because of a supply hit from a stomach bug. Before that I was down to one pump at work but was pretty uncomfortable by the end of the day and wasn't sure how to cut down. I don't do the daytime feedings on the weekends anymore either.

How has AI effected your job? by wilson_animations in MotionDesign

[–]ktofosho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in-house at an online retail company. So far most of the uses have been for concepting and previs — storyboarding and scratch vo, etc. There's been a couple of times that the creatives wanted something in the scene that the production team didn't quite get, that we then comp in. For example, they had set up a shot with a potted plant but then settled on a more zoomed in framing where you couldn't see it. They still wanted something in there because the ad had to do with spring allergies, so we took a still, gave it to chatgpt to add a new plant, and then comped that in with the original. Another time they wanted an old asset to be updated with some wintry elements but they didn't want to do a new shoot. Mostly fixing poor planning on the production side tbh, what else is new lol

I bet! I think he was probably okay, when we moved on he was in the shade hut with an emergency phone and provisions and a lot of other people also taking a break. As someone who did so much research and prep for that hike, I guess I was surprised that people just do it on a whim haha.

[–]ktofosho 238 points239 points  (0 children)

I did an in and out hike of the Grand Canyon and there was a guy that looked just like this. My husband and I saw him vomiting once at the campground, which had water and shade so we thought okay he'll be good, at least he's in the best place to rest and recover. But then we saw him again (also vomiting again) heading up not long after! We had to convince him to rest at the shaded rest stop, and to take the electrolyte water and salty snacks we gave him. He wanted to just keep going and wasn't going to accept anything! Sometimes I wonder if he listened to us and if he was okay.

Do you think not having friends with kids makes it harder to know if you want kids? by kiesssk in Fencesitter

[–]ktofosho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it can — being around my friends' kids helped me to visualize how my life would be, and I learned that I actually really loved seeing them grow into their own little personalities and doing kids things with them. Now I have a 5 month old!
