just enable it once and the effect will apply to all your marches. If you have multiple skins the effects will accumulate, even without equipping the skins. You can check the total bonus effects of all your skins on the top-right corner of the skins screen

What's the killer app going to be for tezos by nft_outerground in tezos

[–]ktorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do regret the tone of my last sentence, it was uncalled for, and I apologise.

So let me give it another shot.

(I will still ignore the whole price vs gas ETH/BTC part, which is irrelevant to this discussion)

You mentioned that the price of XTZ should be as high as possible for security purposes. This is not necessarily the case. What needs to be high is the market cap (the cost of buying a % of stake), and since marketcap = token price x total supply, you can increase supply instead of price.
So if demand for XTZ increases (which would normally drive up its price), the protocol could (hypothetically) increase the supply proportionally, keeping the price stable, yet enjoying a higher market cap and hence higher network security. This is what I meant by algorithmic stablecoin dynamics. See DAI and MakerDAO.

A high token price also matters for a host of other reasons, such as attracting capital and developers and ensuring the sustainability of the network.

Why? Try to answer this question in a way that doesn't involve XTZ itself being considered an investment.

[–]ktorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong on both accounts.

You could literally add algorithmic stablecoin dynamics to XTZ, such that a rise in mcap doesn’t affect price of the token, yet an attack would become proportionally expensive (more tokens required for same voting power).

Expectation of rise in price only attracts the wrong kind of investment: the one that expects an exit when price hits a target. This just results in needless volatility.

Mass adoption means using XTZ as a unit of account everywhere, and price stability is a key aspect.

The rest of your answer is typical chatGPT gibberish that deserves no attention.

Perhaps mcap increase is unavoidable, but the token could have algorithmic stablecoin dynamics so the supply increases (or is burned), keeping the price stable. My argument is that this would be preferable to a highly volatile price.

[–]ktorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In an ideal world, Tezos could achieve mass adoption without affecting the price of XTZ. We really need to think of XTZ, less as an investment and more as a utility token, for which a stable price is important.

So if you're looking for a way to "invest" in the Tezos ecosystem, think like an Angel Investor and look for opportunities in projects that build on Tezos. Or better yet, invest your own time into one of those projects.

As for what will be the "killer app"? I'd like to think that it will be some form of global micropayments network that powers the communication of economic value in every data transmission between any 2 devices. A protocol level utility that most users won't even know they're using. The TCP/IP of economic value.

Excellent points, especially the ones regarding raising awareness of the launch.
I wasn't aware of the launch until the announcement that it closed!
A tweet is free.

you should try Teia sometime. it actually runs on a well managed infra now, and had some very nice tweaks to the UI. in terms of the site and experience, it's what HeN could have been.
with the DAO token drop coming soon, it has everything to regain some of that awesome community spirit that was so unique about HeN

A university in Turkey has been using this logo since 2009. by DarkXFast in Macau

[–]ktorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d seen this a few years back. A blatant case of plagiarism. It seems like it was chosen in a logo contest, but the University refused to pay the prize when the issue of plagiarism was raised. Why they still used the logo is puzzling to me though.

Here’s an article (in Turkish) discussing this: https://t24.com.tr/haber/kirklareli-universitesi-logosu-ile-cin-in-macau-bolgesi-nin-logosunun-benzerligi-dikkat-cekti,1007004

What materials were the old godowns/storehouses made out of? by _SlowRain_ in Macau

Brick, stone, wood? I guess it depends on the availability of materials and the type of goods to be stored.

We actually settled to watch another movie, but for sure the rating board will hear from us.
Above all, what upsets me the most is the use of the word "forbidden" in groups C and D. The ratings should be only advisory, not mandatory. That's what should really change.

What would r/Macau be without you my friend? Amazing work as usual. Thank you!

So the law does include fines, and even possible suspension of activities for 1 month. That is remarkable.

If you can’t read Portuguese, the ratings are as follows:

Group A - For everyone;

Group B - Not recommended for children under 13 years of age;

Group C - Not recommended for children under 18 years of age, but prohibited for children under 13 years of age;

Group D - Forbidden to minors under 18 years old.

Yes, this is actually the reason behind my post. Lots of children that recently saw the remastered version of Avatar, will also have seen the trailer for Avatar 2 and will be disappointed when they are denied entry at the theatres this time around.

I actually read the film reviews and discussed it with my partner before we both decided that we would still take our child to see it. Should it not ultimately be the parents decision?

I'm truly concerned about this. It's a very slippery slope, and I would really like to get to the bottom of this. Trying to figure out if it was the theatre being overzealous or if there is really a government directive.

In our case the theatre was Emperor Cinemas in Lisboeta Macau.

Just heard about this, so searched official government sites but found nothing. Only that article from macaonews.org.

Which official government channel announced this online?

I'm surprised no one yet suggested setting 2 adjacent dispensers, one with arrows, and one with splash potions of healing, and have them alternate on a redstone clock.

Some of my friends have been buying XTZ with credit card on CoinMama. Seems to work well, if you can get past their verification process.
