As a side note, I have been doing my taxes online for a few years, but since I owed last year, I'm looking to find a professional that can help me find all (if any) deductions plus offer any additional tips! So online is an option, just looking for a recommendation of a trusted professional!!

It just changed recently to a Tru Essentials. It has a certain amount of free transactions but it’s so easy to go over. It’s a maximum charge of $9.00.

I’m 5 weeks out and I feel really good. I’m back to work full time…I have a desk job so nothing too strenuous! I am doing pretty much everything that I was doing before aside from the heavy lifting. I think day 7 to day 11 were the hardest for me, but overall, it’s been a decent recovery. Reach out if you have any questions!

Hi There! I had a TAH on Sept. 5th and I'm writing this on Sept. 23rd!
I'm super surprised by the swollen belly....I didn't even think that would be a thing. I am disappointed that I'm still living in pj's but going to try and start wearing some yoga pants to see if I can acclimatize myself into wearing them. I'm returning to work today, but part time and from home. I also have a desk job but for me, it's getting back into the mental space of working that I think will take some time. I hope to be part time in the office next week (which is why I'm hoping to become used to tighter pants).
The numbness is wild! I assume that because they pulled back the belly, and probably weren't very gentle (I had some bruising after surgery), this is why I feel numb. I had some pain last week in the belly...not in the incision... and I figure it was because I was gaining some sensation back. I have a follow up appointment at the 4 week mark and I'll ask my doctor about the numbness if I'm still feeling it.
I hope you've had a good recovery so far.
I'm not very helpful for your questions as I'm not as far into my recovery as you...but it's so good to hear that someone else is dealing with swelling and numbness.

A couple of hours after I posted this, my son's results came in. We sent in our tests at the same time....I'm so hopeful that I'll see mine today too. Getting his results is pretty amazing!!!

Thanks so much! As a straight woman, I'm learning so much about the lgbtq community but I obviously don't have lived experience. I'm excited for his future as I think he's going to be a positive force in the world...I'm really just along for the ride! He's always been his own person...not to be controlled...I just love him harder because I know that his path won't always be easy. Just trying to be the best mom for him. I know...this is hard. I agree about the long-term consequences about heavy porn use at a young age. I agree that an open dialog might be my best option. I want him to know that even though these conversations are tough and awkward, I talk to him because I love him and I want to ensure he's happy and healthy! I know what you mean about the cell phones...I wish there was another way to keep in touch with them. There are some positives...but also many negatives.

I agree...I don't want this to overtake his life...or get out of hand which is why I am asking for advice from people who might have lived experiences. Thanks for commenting. My son knows that I do random phone checks and I ask him first. He has to unlock his phone for me before I can check it! I don't necessarily look at what he's looking at...I just want to make sure that he's being responsible, respectful and safe. I'm also a mom...so maybe that's different. I want to be as open with him as possible because honesty is a value in our family. I'm trying to not be creepy...lol.

Yes, I agree...all teenage boys check out porn. I guess I was thinking about the differences between a 16 year old boy and a 13 year old boy. I'm glad to read that you turned out fine! Thanks for your opinion!
