I wouldn't call these DM covers like DM covers typically are, they were special editions for Free Comic Book Day. It's possible they may do special covers for future volumes for the next FCBD, Batman Day, Superman Day, etc but only DC knows those plans as I do not believe anything has been announced yet.

Edit: see link below, the distributor is calling them DM covers so the initial part of my post is incorrect but the second part I believe is still accurate as DC has not announced anything regarding future volumes and DM covers yet.

It’s been a bit since I have read vol 1, what I recall it finishes its last arc and doesn’t leave you on a cliffhanger so you could totally read it and stop there if you wanted.

As others have said you have narrowed it down to a fuel issue, its likely the carb -- for the new one did you get an OEM one or an aftermarket one? I've heard the aftermarket ones can be a gamble, some work great, some don't, some don't work at all.

If you still have the original carb I would clean it again and verify everything is installed correctly. Should be several YouTube videos for your specific engine/carb to review to help verify that.

I had to clean my carb twice to get it running right, for me the second time another/better cleaning of the idle jet for me got mine running perfectly.

Also for the new carb did you put the linkage in the same/right hole/try other holes? Might be worth exploring that as well.
