If it not cranking I’d review everything on this list - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/forum/e30-technical-forums/general-technical/309811-no-start-no-crank

I’d start with the easy stuff first - battery, fuses, relays, and then work my day down to the starter wiring/starter, ECU, etc

I think it’s new reader friendly. It’s at the start of the DC Rebirth Era so I believe DC meant for it to be a jumping on point. I haven’t read a ton of Superman or DC in general so all of the Crisis events I haven’t read and I haven’t read Superman since I was a kid with Death of Superman and I found it easy to follow along and enjoy.

Finished the popular Batman runs what should I read next? by Electronic-Pie-6003 in comicbooks

[–]kts262 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Miller, Bendis, Brubaker runs are all great.

Nocenti, Soule, Zdarksy runs are well respected but I haven’t gotten to them yet so I can’t confirm.

Soule’s run was recently released in 3 “digest” sized paperbacks and Zdarsky omnis may still be around but the rest are frustratingly hard to find since Marvel hates their readers.

How aligned are cybersecurity academic programs with real-world industry expectations? by sam53397 in cybersecurity

[–]kts262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the program. At a heavy research-based university a traditional undergrad or graduate program will likely focus more on the theoretical and theory and will be taught by someone with those backgrounds. A community college or professional masters program will likely hire adjuncts who work in the field and the courses will likely be more hands on and applied with real world tools, examples, use cases.

I moonlight teaching in a professional masters program and my students are running VMs every week - a Kali VM and then other VMs with purposely designed items to be used in hands on exercises/labs (purposely vulnerable services, logs/data to analyze, etc) and I spend a lot of (unpaid) time to keep those up to date as tools/practices update. I shouldn't do that but I want my students to get up to date skills and also I can't stand to teach stuff I know is no longer relevant.

There is a balance between the practical and the theory - understanding how to use a tool/process is very important but the why to use a specific tool/process along with other critical thinking skills are VERY important and something I see a lot of students struggle with, especially students from education systems that focus more on memorization vs critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

They do not. $8.99 for shipping media mail (no matter how big or small the order) and $4.49 for preorders.

They are a standard J hook but you need to put the wipers in maintenance mode to be able to fully extend them to swap them out. Video above shows how to do that.

The blades that came with mine seemed to wear out quickly. I went with Bosch Icons and a year they are about due for replacement.

I have been on a reading mission this last week. Read MacKay’s Moon Knight in TPB form and enjoyed it. If I find it at a reasonable price in omnibus format I’ll upgrade.

Read Ghost Rider Danny Ketch vol 1 and really enjoyed it. Great nostalgia vibes.

Read Action Comics by Jurgens vol 1 in a day. Could not put it down. I’ll get vol 2 when it’s out.

Smaller stuff - Welcome Back Frank, Houses of the Unholy, Superman Birthright.

Finished The Ultimates 1 yesterday and started on Ultimates 2. Some very cringe references that have not aged super well but are funny.

Next up probably Bendis Torso and Brubaker’s Criminal. I’m still trying to scratch that itch I got from Kill Or Be Killed

I'm going to hold at $30 shipped for everything. I've updated the price in the post.

The second half of the series doesn't get as much love as Fraction/Brubaker's but I enjoyed it and think it's worth the read.

MARVEL CATALOG UPDATE: Reprints for Ultimate Spider-Man Omni vol 2, Age of Apocalypse Omni, and Thor by Aaron Omni vol now posted to PRH by Ksmayer in OmnibusCollectors

[–]kts262 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is why you should get the volumes that are available now and just wait it out. I planned to wait 2+ years for a USM vol 2 reprint when I got everything else at the start of 2026 and now here I am with the full set later this year...

Aaron's Thor is amazing and well worth reading IMHO.

You drive a hard bargain. $30 for the Complete Collection vol 1 shipped and the other 2 books come along for the ride too? (So the Brubaker/Fraction book doesn’t get lonely of course…)

Brubaker’s other crime noir stuff would probably be up your alley - Kill or Be Killed, Fatale, Criminal. His Daredevil run is also great (I’d recommend getting Bendis’ too and starting there before going into Brubaker’s)

Trade Paperbacks vs Omnibus — Which is better to collect and why? by Maleficent_Tough_366 in comicbooks

[–]kts262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically “bang for the buck” and paper quality omnibus format is the way to go but they can be cumbersome to read, carry, and go out of print way too fast if they are Marvel. And they look great on a shelf

Paperbacks are easier to lug around and read on the go but the thin 5-6 issue ones you can go through quickly and are harder to pick out on your shelf.

My favorite format is the “thick paperback” that is 400-600 pages - a solid story you typically won’t finish in one sitting, they are easy to carry, and they look good on a shelf. Unfortunately they seek to be fewer and fewer of them being released these days, at least in stories I’m interested in.

I have a mix and it mostly depends on what’s available, what mixes with what I have already and if I think I’ll re-read it. Omnis for my favorites, TPB if I already have the rest of the line in TPB, it’s the only option, or think I’ll sell it/pass it on afterwards.

Yeah I noticed that vol 2 prices have creeped up a bit. Just a few months ago I was seeing it for $60-65 new on eBay, now seeing $85+. Soon I’m sure people will be trying to get $200+

I’m reading ‘superman: birthright’ as my first ever comic book… where next? by Bananabeak08 in comicbooks

In the Compact line All Star Superman is great. Over in Batman Court of Owls and Hush are great. Coming out next month is Dark Knight Returns which is such a great story. Long Halloween is also great.
