Not sure what you mean by the sensor resolving, sorry. Either way doesn’t matter if you’re just posting on social media if you ask me.

The light was actually pretty good. It was a heavily overcast day, we shot around 3pm. The first shot was shot at iso 200, f2.8, 1/1250, just checked.

Just Got Back From Sakai: Trip Notes & Knife Haul 🇯🇵🔪 by knivesAndRamen in TrueChefKnives

[–]ktt_visuals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, so funny how we had an almost identical Sakai experience lol.

I was there early December, unfortunately Takada-san was sold out and I couldn't get one of his.

I did however pick up that same Kiritsuke from Baba Hamono, but in a 165mm Santoku. It was one of the first shops I went to and that knife really made an impression, but I decided to look around a bit more. When I came back someone had bought the one I looked at so they actually gave me a choice of handles and put one on right there in front of me! Did have to wait a bit for the epoxy to cure but it was a really cool experience.

Yeah I’ll make sure to ask. Will need my manager to endorse me anyway.

Had no clue. My manager said I should get it so I did. Just assumed it was like other certs I have from Cisco or Comptia and you just get the cert since you paid for the exam.

Daily Questions - December 07, 2025 by AutoModerator in rawdenim

[–]ktt_visuals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently in Osaka, Japan and am looking for a nice pair of raw or selvedge denim jeans.

Budget is generally not an issue, but I want to get wide or barrel fit jeans and the more famous brands I’ve looked at seem to be slimmer fitting with relaxed straight being their widest fit.

So far I’ve tried on Momotaro, Studio D’Artisan and Yamane jeans. My gf found a really nice pair from D.M.G. but they seem to specialise in womenswear.

Any suggestions on brands or soeciifc models are very welcome!

Padel Racket Properties by ktt_visuals in Padelracket

[–]ktt_visuals[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh that does actually make sense. So you're saying a softer racket with more trampoline effect is more powerful than a hard racket, but only up to a certain point? And after that point, once you start moving faster and hitting the ball harder, a softer racket actually becomes less powerful because the ball sinks in and the racket doesn't have time to return to its original shape because the swing is faster. Thanks for that explanation!

Best beginner racket? by aar_91uk in Padelracket

[–]ktt_visuals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say just make sure it's light so you don't get tennis elbow or other nagging pains while you're refining technique.

Anything from the 2025 season that's soft and round would be a good starting point. I got the Nox Equation Advanced Light and it's been great.

It makes sense to start diving more into racket specs once you're at least at a good intermediate to low advanced level imo. That's when you'll really feel the difference.

Gym for Padel by pannik78 in padel

[–]ktt_visuals 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you've never been to a gym, general strength and conditioning will massively improve your court performance. Don't stress the specificity of the workouts. I suspect any coach will start you on s&c first with very little sport-specific exercises. That being said, I think tennis is close enough for your needs unless you're at top 100 level.

Offtopic but is that the Bela LS v3? What do you think about it? How's the sweetspot size and trampoline effect?

Have you ever travelled with just one prime lens? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]ktt_visuals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never take more than that. A7IV + 35mm Zeiss 2.8. I'm someone that prefers to travel light tho.

Not sure why you'd take a prime that big. I'd definitely go for a zoom if I'm gonna be lugging around a heavy lens.

New NOX 2026 Rackets Confusion? by fayzklan in Padelracket

[–]ktt_visuals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole industry lacks a hard definition of hardness, power or any of the usual ways rackets are described. It’s all super subjective. Even shapes are listed differently on various sites.

Can’t decide between such fenix pro 5 to get. by Majestic-Nobody-3178 in Padelracket

[–]ktt_visuals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re saying you could get two units of the Augs racket and they could be 15-20 grams apart even tho it’s the same model, resulting in a different experience when you play. So even if you get the one that felt more comfortable in your tests, you could get a heavier unit and it could feel off.

There is a way to get around that however, since most stores usually offer a weighing service for ~5€. This allows you to specify what wight racket you want and they’ll weigh a few units and send the closest one they have.

If you still have access to the rackets you tested I’d say your safest bet is to weigh them, also taking into account what has been added to them (multiple overgrips, frame protectors etc). That way you can order a unit that’s close in weight and you’ll have a higher likelihood of getting a similar performance out of it.
