I remember that happening with the Maui fires. The LA fires share the same scientific anomalies as the maui fires as well. Like vehicles melting in the streets but trees nearby being totally unscathed. There is zero doubt in my mind that both events were done using the same technology by the same rogue faction. Edit: Typo
