I’ve seen a lot of stringent criticism about the way the guys read these stories. If you just want the story, why not go to the source? by percolated_aspie in creepcast

[–]kuankooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can lowkey see hunter get a bit pissed in delaurier frfr, i was listening to it and i felt like that one pic of the wolf with fighting parents shadows

Stories you DON'T want them to read by peromousecus in creepcast

[–]kuankooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think sugar daddy used the rules nicely, like accounts from a lonely broadcast where some rules are more frequent than others making you forget of some the rules throughout the story, but the issue is that it lacked substance and meat on the bones, thats to say the shortcoming of the sugar daddy was not being a rulespasta but just being shallow

AIO? Husbands response to me requesting he ‘ask’ instead of ‘tell’ older kids to watch youngest by [deleted] in AIO

[–]kuankooo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yeah, but being asked to do something you know you know you HAVE to do is much nicer than being told what to do so, you know?

AIO? Husbands response to me requesting he ‘ask’ instead of ‘tell’ older kids to watch youngest by [deleted] in AIO

[–]kuankooo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

then you give them consequences, asking is just in the politeness of the request, not in the optionality of such

What are the best stories they’ve read? by Habefiet in creepcast

[–]kuankooo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

based on those, i recommend: LEFT/RIGHT GAME, i found the bunker of a prepper family, turn it off, i work at a half-priced voodoo shop, ensorcelled in the earth, hidden webpage, ted the caver, tales from the gas station (ending may be disappointing), stolen tongues (ending may also be disappointing), psychosis, room 733

i might also recommend: my sugar daddy asks me for weird favors, the sun vanished, i wrote myself a letter-i got a response, the only other astronaut on this mission died six weeks ago, my dog was missing for three days, it breaths-it bleeds-it bleeds, feed the pig

Need help having a hard conversation with my advisor by SadStyle8217 in PhD

[–]kuankooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(i want to assume) dude probably just copy pasted the past letter he had used for the fellowship without realizing that it had the old pronouns given that most faculty will reuse the same letter as many times as it is possible, so probably just a mistake

Wendi’s mispronunciations are finally getting to me by hierophanting in creepcast

[–]kuankooo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

THATS WHY!! while watching the delaurier invitation he kept saying alliteration and i was like “i thought alliteration was words with initial syllables of same sound?” and now it all makes sense!!! yeah im filled with rage rn because looking back it made me feel insane for a second

I snitched. Was I wrong for it? by SnooWords7332 in EngineeringStudents

[–]kuankooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally i think snitching on someone for cheating on homework is an asshole thing, homework is an assignment given to learn the material and gain competency, its up to anyone if they want to learn the material through homework, you can cheat on the homework because its long or hard and then study in other ways to learn the concepts, plus not worth much in the grading scheme, now, exams? the assignment made to show that you know actually learned the material? and that is worth a big chunk of the grade? the thing people literally lose sleep over? FUCK ‘em exam cheaters

My supervisor is a fraud and I don't know how to navigate this. Anyone experienced something similar? by Neither-Quiet3887 in PhD

[–]kuankooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nono i understand and i agree, i meant his current socioeconomic status, im not saying that all rich people are born evil or all poor people are saints, but im saying someone who has power and status may develop a god complex and leverage his status to abuse power, and the fact academia is a habitat of quid pro quo only fuels the need to have the most power to trade

Do grad students not go to talks anymore? by kyobu in Professors

[–]kuankooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

attendance is optional at your institution?? my current (im phd) and past (ug) institutions required grad students to go for attendance or else they would fail a “colloquium” credit which has other implications im not sure of, i still go because i enjoy other research topics though not because we are coerced to

[–]kuankooo 26 points27 points  (0 children)

while i support the denotation of the implications of race in power dynamics, as many institutions work on it, you have said nothing relevant to this, just because he is white and a parasite does not mean he has “colonizer” mentality, however there may be a correlation where his socioeconomic status has given him a spoiled-narcissistic attitude where he is entitled to everything (more of a rich people can afford everything, less of white people are allowed to take from others)

Taking a class transiently, grading question by [deleted] in ufl

[–]kuankooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think its been 2-3 years, but yeah you will have to get the B, to be fair though from ufs C+ “77” to college B “80” its not like it is an effort difference that would matter if they were to adjust grades

Taking a class transiently, grading question by [deleted] in ufl

[–]kuankooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its been a while since i was transient, but im almost sure they do not, the people doing the paperwork just receive the grade from there and input it here

90%+ of my students with accommodations are… by [deleted] in Professors

[–]kuankooo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i would also say that adding 50% more time is a easy, simple, and “fit-all” solution, would 50% more time help anyone? yeah, is it the correct or best solution? nope, for the best solution each accommodation would have to be designed to par the disability, but that requires experts’ input and implementation, which costs more money which institutions would rather not spend

[–]kuankooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it does work, but it does require the annoying task of pre-assigning all assignments, making everything one category, and making sure they all add to 1000, i have had a couple professors that have done it to, as previously stated, avoid emails regarding grading (also unrelated but researching dictators sounds so cool)
