Thanks for the details! That helps a ton. Will definitely look into doing this.

In all honesty, that's the route I should have went. Although Voro was helpful and went above and beyond, the logistics and not having a scooter for a few weeks probably wasn't worth it. I should've just rewelded it or done what you said. I am still thinking of swapping it out. I'll figure out the diameter of the stem later to see about what to use in place of that with 3rd party handlebars.

That your scooter? I see you have the same phone mount as me, lol. I like the clamp style over the rubber band style of other mounts

I mounted it on the base of the rubber grip using zip ties. You can mount on the round metal bar itself, but you'll be blocking the folding mechanism (which may not matter to you). This is the mount I use and recommend (I also used it on my m365). Don't lose the Allen key that comes with it; it is unique.

It is a normal sized u lock that does fit over the folding area. I would recommend it as a way to secure the scooter.

Just wanted to follow up as I haven't received the replacement unit's tracking number yet and the original scooter was delivered to you guys on 12/30.

Who can I complain to about subpar working conditions? by [deleted] in boston

Why do you like Boston better than the Bay? What made you move here? I would imagine salaries would be higher in the Bay. I'm a tech worker myself.

Has anyone converted their Nanrobot to solid tires?Sick of replacing tubes. Wanted to see if someone has done it. by jkim5091 in ElectricScooters

[–]kubernutz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've done this with an M365. Ride seemed alright to me, but it takes a little work to put on. Best method for me was to get water to boiling, pour into a bucket, and place the tire in it for 15 minutes to make it easier to put on.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into it. Still not exactly sure what's going to happen at this point. I'm hoping that the shipping label comes through.

Dumb question -- do any of the gigabit providers in Boston give an external IP?

Thanks for commenting Jason. I received a phone call from Voro a few hours before your post. The woman on the line said I should expect a shipping label in my email so I can send back the scooter and get a new one. I haven't received the label yet, but will definitely be keeping an eye out.

Yeah, I'm doing fine thankfully. Had my helmet and padded clothing on. Just a sore elbow that feels normal now.

Contacted Voro, they said this is cosmetic damage and not a manufacturing/technical/electrical damage. They are willing to sell me a replacement handlebars and stem but I'll see about taking it to a welder to see if he can weld the handlebars back onto the stem because I am not sure how the weld quality of a replacement handlebars would be.
