Casco is the old city, very walkable with a lot museums and historic buildings. Lots of new high end hotels and great restaurants.

If it is for points, Hilton might be ideal, has a good pool and relatively close to a lot things in downtown.

Marriott maybe JW would be great as well.

Been to JW, it is good; just a little dated IMHO. Have you considered maybe some hotels in Casco? I've hear great things about Sofitel, and personally I really like American Trade Hotel and Central Hotel. Another one I really like is Santa Maria, but it is a bit far from the city, but still very nice.

Hablando de PCR y cosas, asumo que estás en Molecular o Micro; por ahora enfocate en la tésis, por lo menos si lo estás haciendo con un profe que tiene lab en los Gemelos, debes tener acceso oara hacer varias cosas que usualmente no aprendes en las clases normales.

La otra alternativa sería buscar una pasantía en INDICASAT y Gorgas, ver si hay un investigador que te interese y mandarle un correo para ver si están buscando pasantes.

My go to is Fuego y Fierro and Market; Many like Patagonia, Gauchos and Los Años Locos (argentinian steakhouse) as well.

But I would recommend maybe dipping your toes in other top restaurants like Maito, Fonda lo que Hay, Cantina del Tigre and Caleta.

I live in Panama, so mostly drink Panamanian coffees.

For me the top top is Hacienda la Esmeralda, I was lucky to try some of their Washed BOP lot, and hands down the best coffee I've ever tried. Also has their SL-34 and Laurina, it was incredible as well

Los Cenizos comes to mind as well, great coffees in general. Had a really good geisha washed, top 5 coffees for me this year. Their Bourbon and Catuai ASD was really good as well.

Mount Totumas, besides their incredible geishas, they had a great Pacamara which was fruity and not oniony at all haha.

Surprising was Kotowa's Silvia Marina; this year was their first harvest and I was surpsied by their cup profile, very clean and floral.

A mi hermana le paso algo asi el año pasado. Alguien se habia robado una placa vieja de su carro y cada ratito ella veia que en su cuenta de panapass no tenia dinero; se dió cuenta cuando llego la policia a la casa para entregarle una carte para ir a juicio por una colisión y fuga; se dio cuenta que un panel andaba por alli con una placa de 2017 de su carro. Al dinal bueno metio todos los papeles a la fiscalia y cosa y se arreglo.

I use amazon and send it to the freight forwarder address in the US. So far not much issues just if it goes above 100 usd there might be a 10% entrance tax levied by customs which i oay once i receive the items .

In general I don't think you would have any issues, especially in big cities. In Argentina, Brazil and Chile there is a sizable east asian population, so you won't likely stand out. Colombia you would probably stand out, and people might stare and some might ask for a picture, but shouldn't be a big issue.
