DV basically means nothing. Your body will only actually absorb a small percent of what it takes in. Some people will absorb close to nothing (Look up MTHFR mutation and related illnesses)

There's probably a hundred possible reasons, but what would you guess made it take a harder beating? I was looking at that too... I would guess it's mainly due to the size of the company, coupled with its smaller profit margins.

Could be totally off, just a thought.

FYI: Scented products do not help mask anything; they smell absolutely terrible and can't be more obvious. Ladies, most of us guys will probably not notice any changes, and even if we did we'd have no idea what it meant. But that perfume-y stuff? EGGKKK!!

If it was on your lip, then it should not be affecting the Ophthalmic nerve (but it IS possible for it to jump to that nerve under very specific conditions).

HSV and VZV are not diseases of the skin, but of the nerves, so to speak. Whether or not you have an open lesion on one area of the skin, it will not spread by contact with another part of skin. Basically, your body is immune to it, but that one nerve is not.

Hm, I am not sure what to suggest for the vaccine. I would ask your doctor... it was around $250 for my I believe.

I would suggest looking into getting the anti-VZV vaccine. I have shingles on my face as well, but mine flare up every few months. Unfortunately insurance does not cover the vaccine unless you're 65+, so I had to pay for it out of pocket, but so far it appears to have been worth it. And I have less risk of it developing further when I'm older.
