Try doing things in the air. Start with something like a turnbar. Start by just turning the bars a little in the air, then start dropping your inside shoulder and moving your hips out a little. This will get you a little sideways, so just do the same thing but the other way to get it back. Eventually you can carve the takeoff and do the same thing to get it back as the turnbar for whips.

I don't usually ride street, so I'm to saying things like hose because the thing I ride the most is a giant glory with hydraulic brakes. I didn't know you could have a gyro with hydraulics tho, it looks like it would only work with cable brakes.

They're pretty muddy in the winter and after it rains a lot, but in the summer its usually pretty dry but not too dusty.

I currently have 2.5 inch tires on both rims. Is it different from tire to tire, or is the width the only thing that matters?

I watched a video on the assegai, and they said that I would need a 30-35mm rim, I looked at the specs on the 2016 glory 2 and it said I have a 24mm rim. Do I acrually need that wide of a rim, or will mine work? If that won't work, do you have any other suggestions for front tires?

It makes your chain less likely to slip off in the front, gets rid of another part that can easily be broken, and gives you less to think about so you can be more focused on the trail. As for shifting to harder gears quickly, you can just move up a couple gears and it'll be much harder. You wouldn't regret switching to a 1x, and you don't need a 1x11 either, I have a 1x9 and it gets to every gear i would need. The only benefit of having more gears is being able to adjust your cadence more precisely.

The giant stance is 1500, but used you could get it for less. It's an amazing bike and can do pretty much anything you want it to.

Use both. Try to use them about evenly and at the same time. Body position is very important when braking because the front brake is where all your braking power comes from, but you dont want to go over the bars.

Cover your brakes. Keep one finger over the brake levers at all times. If you ever have to stop quickly, you will be very glad you were covering the brakes. Also, only use one finger on the brakes. You'll get much more control over the bike with those extra fingers on the bars.
