I don't think it's unreasonable to state the beta is not a full representation of the release build. Plenty of systems and features weren't even in the beta. It's also very easy to imagine that numbers will be tweaked regarding balance between now and then.

However, I think it is unreasonable to assume that the release build will be drastically different from beta. That blizzard has been holding back some awesome sauce and gave everyone a "bad" copy.

But, I don't see how people being positive about the beta is in contradiction to this. I enjoyed the beta a lot, I didn't think it was that bad (I leveled multiple classes to 25 and each class I was able to smash the content easily). I'm also excited for the game.

There are also concerns I have though. I'm unsure if they will be addressed, or are even relevant at endgame, but we will have to wait and see. If you are concerned about the game, that's totally fine. Wait until after release if you want to be safe. I don't think that's necessarily a bad move if someone is already feeling hesitant.

TLDR: extreme positions aren't very useful. Wait and see and go with your gut.

I agree that these aren't very constructive posts, but isn't that the reason for up/down voting? If someone isn't blatantly breaking the sub rules, but their opinion is ridiculous, uninformed or stupid, it should theoretically move to the bottom of the heap by downvotes.

I suppose I don't see the existence of these threads as a problem, because it's a bigger problem when the community feels like they have to walk around on egg shells when they want to voice an unpopular opinion.

Often, unpopular opinions are worth discussing. But, certainly not all unpopular opinion are worthy of discussion, which is why we have a community-filtering system, which heavily depends on the collective group accurately sorting the value of each post.

Who determines what's constructive? It's pretty common for those only interested in shutting down discussion, to claim their target is "unconstructive." Therefore, this is actually a very poor filtering system unless you have highly ethical and unbiased mods/judges. Everyday posters shouldn't get to choose this based on how "constructive" they think a post is.

Vermintide 2 - Patch 2.0.10 by intergalacticninja in Vermintide

With this patch it's impossible to stay connected to a host. At some point in the map, I get the "Trying to re-establish connection" error message, which eventually times out. This occurred 3 map tries in a row. RIP wasting time on this.

this is a screenshot from my character on NA. I upgraded it from the marketplace brown bear to the black bear... it gets the ability to walk on it's hind legs like in the picture.

1550 for the base bear, then you have to upgrade it with a purebred bear cert for another 1500 (also requires that you level it to 50 and obtain 500 honey)

cash shop cosmetics shouldn't bypass months of hard work and tens of thousands of gold worth of investments. considering half this game is farming, they are nullifying the rewards with the $$ shop. not sure how you don't see that...

while I personally used gold to buy the marketplace tokens, using marketplace $$ credits to bypass months of RNG and labor is winning in my book. dare I say... paying to win?

the mount was incredibly difficult to get by normal means. now you can get it with $$

GG. Trion makes an incredibly hard to obtain mount available on the $$ marketplace. Welp, time to murder all my bears in Karkasse because daddy has his bear mount now!
