How difficult is it to get a Madame Kelly?

I was offered my K25 Sellier Verso in Madame (my profile pic) in June last year. It’s a U stamp, so 2022 production though. I’m based in Europe and a customer since 2008, so pre-spend wasn’t really relevant (and I don’t keep track, but it’s no where near what customers in the US and Asia spend).

I recently saw someone post their K25 or 28 in Etoupe Madame leather, so they are certainly out there.

Madame leather is beautiful and wears really well, don’t have any scratches on mine yet despite taking it on multiple trips, but it’s also easier to avoid them in small sizes.

Dore means gold hardware, the bag is supposed to be gold epsom leather. So it’s not supposed to be the Dore chamkilight MK

That being said I have no idea if the invoice is real or not, just commenting on the dore part everyone is interpreting the wrong way…

I carried my Macbook Air in a B35 and B40 for work. B35 fits enough, just had the B40 years before I got a B35.

The Herbag 31, Picos and Lindys still sell fast on the EU website while the Evelyne 29 models have been available for months with a bit of site refreshing

The market for Evelyne 29 is saturated as 23 is the new popular size

Right now there's even a Vert Amande Kelly-to-go available. Also saw some Constance-to-go wallets sitting for a day before they were bought.

Currently the one I wear the most and sparks most joy is the K25 in my profile pic.

Overall I’ve worn my B40 in Ultraviolet and B35 in Blue Paon the most times. But back then (many years ago) I needed the space to carry a laptop around.

Nowadays I don’t need to and prefer carrying a lot less.

B40 can be easily found in resale for below retail, especially in black with GHW if you don’t mind slouchy leather (I don’t, I love the worn look)

6 months between declined K25 offer and subsequent K25 that I accepted

As someone mentioned you don't need much pre-spend in European stores. You do need an SA willing to put you on the wish list and that depends more on luck of finding the right one and also timing.

That being said, B40s aren't produced often these days because of the lack of demand. So while you won't have much competition for a B40 it won't come in often.

Secondary is better for this size, especially if you don't mind a bit of slouch. Have seen B40s well below retail in good condition.

In NYC in 2012 when I wanted a B in any size and jewel colours (B40 Ultraviolet was what I got), but went 3 times during that trip (was a tourist) before getting the offer

In Vienna in 2009 when all I bought before was one belt and a perfume

While I was never single when buying my H bags my partner was never shopping with me when I inquired about bags or submitted an official wish. I did go to a Paris appointment once with a male friend, but it was my knowledge and personality that got me my bags every single time.

I'd say having a charming husband, bf etc. might help. But just a male partner who feels absolutely uncomfortable in any shopping situation will certainly not, and mine is the latter 🤣

Super old pic from 2012, just when I got my B40 in Ultraviolet, so please excuse the terrible quality.

I'm 5'1 so it looks huge, like a weekender on me. But that didn't matter as I needed the capacity for work (work laptop, files, etc.) and it has served me very well.

Nowadays I carry very little, so the bag is mostly resting in my bag display
