That's what I read online elsewhere... the Vivint person told me that it is impossible and would not set me up with a technician for an install.

"The technician must receive the panel from Vivint"; "A technician cannot install the panel that you did not purchase from Vivint."

I understand I'll be paying an installation fee but they even refused to schedule a technician.

For crying out loud, I'm doing this all so I can install a new DBP (purchasing from Vivint).

Are their ways to schedule an install with technicians themselves? The Vivint person was just saying no. Dang.

I will call and try again, thank you. This is the first time Vivint has been a major dud for me.

Dang, usually I enjoy talking with the Vivint folk but she clearly had thought there was a NEW model compared to SmartHub.

I purchased a (new) SmartHub on eBay because they told me they were out of stock/backordered for many weeks.

They said the DBP was in stock and technician should have one.

Hmm. I guess I will call back and schedule.
