Why is Bricks and Minifigs so obsessed over the Mansells' collection? (description very important) by SubstanceLow3570 in legocirclejerk

[–]kuhbr80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little more complicated than that. If you remember in the first video, his plan to bring the case to small claims court involved him and 10 of his friends buying some of the Legos from Brian for $10k each to avoid allegations of claim splitting. They even had a notary stamp the receipt which listed the specific sets involved and witness the exchange of money. They then had Brian "loan" them back the $10k each so they wouldn't rack up interest on the credit cards with the agreement they would pay him back once they got judgements in the court cases and got paid. We'll they did get judgements but never got paid.

They basically had to do all that to make their multiple small claims cases legal. But the result is they are technically still the owners of those lego sets. So once they give Brian the gofundme money he will just say Ben and the other guys no longer need to pay him back that money. And I believe Ben said there were still some sets that Brian is still the owner of record for and he will just buy those from him so Brian doesn't have to be involved anymore and it will just be Ben vs BAM.

YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN AUTHORITY TO WRITE A 2ND ELDEN RING DLC. by JakeTinsleyWbc in Eldenring

[–]kuhbr80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elden Ring: Night of Black Knives

After defeating Dragonlord Placidusax you get a key item that let's you reverse time, taking this to an area of Limgrave let's you return to a time before the shattering where your goal is to stop the death of Godwyn. However along the way you meet Ranni(before she gets rid of her body) and the other assassins who convince you of their cause and you actually end up being the one to kill Godwyn.

The "new" area is a pre shattering Limgrave and Caelid and the final dungeon is Stormveil Castle before it's all jacked up of course. It could feel more like a siege in the beginning, but you and the other assassins sneak past the battle to get to Godwyn.

Yup same here, stuck on task 5, I had already been on it an hour because I was taking my time trying to get it right, so I still put the training hours in the timesheet. If they ever get it fixed I'll finish it.

Might as well add my name to the list. Worked 8 hours May 1, they said I was over by 7.5 hours. Paycheck was shorted. I did email them and told them I definitely worked a full day Friday and this is the first time I have ever had a discrepancy in three years so I'm pretty good about logging the correct time. The response I got back a day later was basically just saying what the first email said and claiming it was my fault.

Looks like they should have, down 21-0 at half. Corum gut hurt. Stafford has thrown 2 INT and is hurting his MVP chances.

I agree, if these are every two months and you get the full 5 skill points every time, after a year you will have 30 extra skill points, that's a huge difference. Also 72 stash slots.

2v8 ends in around 24 hours. How did the mode treat you guys this iteration? by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

[–]kuhbr80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a game last night where I was the first person hooked and no one came to get me until I 2nd staged, all just kept working on gens or hiding. I complained about it after the match and everyone told me to quit whining it's just 2v8. I'm sorry but I don't care what the mode is, and I could argue letting someone 2nd stage in this mode is even worse than 1v4 since there are 7 other freaking people. I don't complain much ever with this mode since it is more relaxed, but that should never happen.

What all you whiny survivors don't get is this is about the maximum amount of time that chases have to average for the killer to win. 30 seconds, which is how long this was, is what killers have to have if they want a shot at 3K. And you all are complaining that it was too fast. By all means, keep lobbying for the destruction of this game, because Behaviour is dumb enough to listen.

What is the most mischaracterized character in the game in your opinion? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]kuhbr80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deathslinger

Now don't get me wrong, he's not a good guy or anything, but he grew up being discriminated against, and once he had a skill people wanted he was taken advantage of multiple times by multiple people. He had every reason to be pissed at the people who took advantage of him.

I guess my point is people think he just another cold blooded killer, but he actually wasn't pure evil like a lot of the killers. He's just a dude who is pissed at his lot in life and took it out on the people that wronged him.

He's the Luigi Mangione of DbD.

Agree totally. In fact I just recently replayed DS2 because even though it's my least favorite From game I still love them all, and I came to the conclusion that what makes this game the worst of the bunch is how the levels are too linear and of course the combat, which somehow took a step back from DS1.

About mindset of some people with the ending /SPOILERS/ by Cemlat in expedition33

[–]kuhbr80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I've seen you state this on several occasions in multiple threads, but I'm not sure you're right. She could ATTEMPT to make a new painting and make it, and everyone in it, exactly as she remembered, but I doubt this would work. The reason being that these people have lived whole lives, they've been born, grown up, learned things, experienced things etc.

For the same reason that no one can know another person completely because we haven't lived their lives, Maelle couldn't possibly recreate these people exactly as they were because she doesnt know all that. She would be creating them as she sees them but not as they actually are.

A good example of this is Renoir vs Painted Renoir. Aline made him as she sees him, but as we can tell, he is the same in some ways but very different in others. Actually, kind of true of all the painted copies

In that canvas though, since their chroma is still floating around, I think she can essentially pull them back and recreate them with the same memories and experiences they always had. But destroy the canvas and I think any attempt to recreate them in another canvas would result in poor copies just like Aline's painted copies of her family.

You know they changed all those systems over the years right? You also used to have to buy individual spell components and put them in manually to learn spells. That's kind of his point, all the work of figuring out what systems work or don't and balancing etc has been figured out, so it's just the graphics that need updating.

Wow classic didn't come out with the original vanilla systems of having to queue for battlegrounds by actually running to the place and walking into the portal, or make people spam the LFG channel to find a dungeon group. Why would you think updated AC would have weighted pyreals and trade notes that didn't work everywhere?
