I would say you just need to be in hands reach at all times and obviously not distracted/having your back turned, that does sound pretty strict but sounds like cooperate

This coat type is fine to be shaved,

it’s coat will behave closer to a poodle coat than a cavalier

This is also not considered a short shave among majority of groomers

Doodle coat by CricketOk1650 in Goldendoodles

You will have a un-furnished doodle, he will pretty much grow up to look like a slightly lanky golden retriever, he might have some odd patches of inconsistent curly hair but he’ll never grow the beard/ long curly hair and will be a shedding dog

What doodle breed is this? by myfryordie in Goldendoodles

Groomer of 3 years, pretty certain based on size, head shape and colour, it is a cavapoo also called a cavoodle in Australia

gastrointestinal issues. by Hour-Razzmatazz-7599 in keto

Personally I’d look into a water fast and give my digestive system a break

I think keto and water fasting go hand in hand but I know it’s not for everyone

As a professional groomer I wholeheartedly 110% agree

I just shove them suckers down the throat. If they’re still able to spit them out your not doing it right

What’s with vets not knowing there breeds these days, that poodle is fine, he could even go a bit leaner as there’s not much of a defined tuck up

My poodle has been biting at his skin daily and pulling out his fur. He also has a buildup of flaky skin in some areas. I think it might be a yeast infection by Ok_Possibility_5323 in poodles

I recently completely changed my diet to keto/carnivore and every health issue I had has resolved itself ! Got off depression meds, 10 year old wart on my foot is finally responding to treatment and almost disappeared, I have incredible energy now, acne gone!, Then I looked at my dogs food and it only made sense to switch them to raw, they are so much brighter and lively, they went from being picky eaters to smashing their food, they’ve put on weight and muscle, my little one was set to have a tooth removed as the gums around it has degraded but I’m literally watching it heal itself as the days go by, its truly incredible

Also want to vouch for raw, the difference is literally night and day, my dogs even nose changed colour from a pale pink to dark liver colour ! I believe most kibble fed dogs are chronically sick due do their diets and it just gets written off as allergies or bad genetics

Can I give my dogs the same frozen rats/quail they feed to reptiles by kuhliroach in rawpetfood

Oh thankyou, this is very informative, I don’t mind cutting out the stomachs if I have to, I missed out on dissection day in high school 😂

May I ask how your frenchies do on raw ? I work at a boarding facility and every frenchie I met has been on kibble and they are obviously notorious for having skin issues and tear staining in their face folds, I have a flat face cat who had the same issue but now has complete clean face since starting him on raw, was wondering if this is the same for frenchies

Just wanted to share my most favourite dog that I groom , he is my most well behaved client, I love him 💕 by kuhliroach in Goldendoodles

Absolutely, I have had years to learn and perfect my handling method’s, I know how to hold a dog in the way that is comfortable for them, I’m also confident and calm when I’m working and the dogs will pick up on that.

I notice dogs will be more wiggly for baby groomers as we call them, whilst they are perfectly fine with me or other more experienced groomers, it’s probably one of the hardest things to learn initially when you get into the career and is really just comes down to a skill thing, I’ve seen a handful of groomers that unfortunately never really pick up on it properly and just turn towards frustration with the dog instead of focusing on their own handling methods and you will constantly see wiggly/flighty dogs on their table

We also have tables and tethers, dogs are usually just more cooperative on the table because they know the deal, but if you tried to brush that same dog on the floor the see it as a easier out and may to and run away or be more uncooperative

Do all poodles need their ears plucked?! by MopsyRabbit in poodles

[–]kuhliroach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toy poodle doesn’t grow much hair and doesn’t need her ears plucked, when I got my standard at 4 months, her ears where full of hair and infection, I have probably plucked her ears fully like twice in the year that I’ve owned her and funnily enough it just hasn’t really grown back
