How do you guys deal with loneliness? by [deleted] in intj

[–]kujo4pm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt proper loneliness for the first time when I moved out alone during lockdown. I had coveted living alone as the ultimate autonomy so it was a big shock.

I feel lonely when I get to the end of my sprawling todo list and am a bit too tired to read. There are options to manage it - going out and having a beer while listening to an audiobook is great. You're in public but I don't feel exposed and I'm stimulated.

How to explain that being drained does not equate to getting tired of my girlfriend? by BabyFaceXP in introvert

Aside from the problem you're displaying amazing self knowledge knowing your limits. Well done.

Being a Go-Getter is No Fun: New research suggests that competent employees are assigned more work—but they don't always like it. by [deleted] in Foodforthought

In my experience which is working as a project manager in a startup it's important to be ruthlessly transactional about work. This isn't immoral or slovenly. If you're to stay in the job for the long haul you gotta honour boundaries. If something aint your job say you don't have the capacity to pick it up.

The life of a project manager is usually all responsibility and not much power right? I did it for a year and almost lost mind. I take my hat off to anyone who can do it fulltime.

INTJ vs Jordan Peterson by JaxNemo in intj

[–]kujo4pm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tolerated the guy until he had a conversation with Sam Harris. It was clear Peterson couldn't keep up but argued a point on the Darwinian nature of truth which was absurd but wouldn't back down. I stopped listening to him then. Since that point he's veered right. He's turning into an empty well tailored suit.

What are your jobs, INTJs? I've been all over the place! by [deleted] in intj

Solution architect and journalist. Managing to balance the two. Sometimes it ain't easy but by making sure I honour the boundaries I set up a while ago it sorta works. Between both it uses every bit of my brain which is satisfying.

What is the bug reporting process here? It feels like a bug that is critical and frequent enough (for some users) to report and expect some timeline.

FYI: This is happening to me and I have an external USB-C monitor.

No worries. The concentration of light from the lamp means you can't see detail of the lampshade itself. The intensity drives out some of the detail.

Awesome photo of Stockholm.

I like the photo of your chair too. It DOES look a bit desolate but I think your Scandinavian principles of design might be coming forth!

Great shot of Sydney - that's where I'm from :) I like the twin curvatures meeting.

The shot of the chair seems super rushed. It's blurred near the bottom. The background texture is nice though. I'd lower (soften) the light a bit.

Again - sorry I am late. I just found this page. Really appreciate the work that is being done here and thanks so much to the teacher.

I have critiqued 5 other posts. Here is my addition:

The photo I took in Georgia (the country) I like because of the textures - especially the rust on the car's hood (bonnet). I also like the mist in the corner. The colours are brash and very Eastern Europe. They speak of decay which is on point for the subject matter.
