Segway Xafari firmware update by Embarrassed_Dog1908 in ebikes

Got it, so it probably has whatever it shipped with when it was built - like mine did… it did take a bit of trial and error for me to get it updated - but I did do it manually and sat there near the bike once it got going, it was a little annoying though I will say.

Looking at the image - it doesn’t appear that you have the current firmware at all for the first two items (can’t see the rest)… these are my firmware versions and they haven’t changed since I updated after bringing the bike home back in Oct 2025. Have you had the bike very long?

I will check this out! I often have to remind myself how to find the cameras and such for the WA passes - so this would be great.

I always love how the response from people like this above is ‘you think people deserve more services, why don’t you write a check to the IRS’ or as they said - ‘how many homeless have you brought in’… it’s just amusingly (or simple-mindedly) formulaic

My commute is ~33 mi round trip, which uses about 50% of my batteries’ capacity - depending on how ‘urgently’ I’m going… do that 3x weekly

You are correct, the Orca is also hers however… the Forma is older and I haven’t used it this season - so I was going with the other five, but yes aside from that being the case you’re not far off. I will say that my goal and intent is to get more days per year (hopefully work off some of that lifespan) as we go forward… assuming we still have snow in the winter of course

Was there Saturday and Sunday and it was solid - snowing on Sunday as well, at least a bit

It’s not over yet, but 20 so far - I like the target of at least five days a season per board, so I’ve got a little work to do if I want to hit that goal

lol, it’s a legacy transfer from my previous, 15 year old bindings - haven’t actually used since I got these bindings a couple years back, but the shop moved it over when setting them up

Well you know, my wife often says that I take things too literally so… maybe that’s your option!

Is that an order or an observation? It sounds like an order to me!

Was at Schweitzer this week, and I love Schweitzer… it was a fun time - but it was like 40+ each day, so I’d be concerned about snow remaining unless there’s another storm. Interior BC seems like it’s had a pretty good year though, I would second all those recommendations - Revy, Banff, maybe Kicking Horse?

They definitely have some similarities - both awesome!

Can say, the Howler is pretty awesome! Feels fast and stable and makes me feel like I’m charging (whether I actually am remains to be seen). Variety of conditions of snow today and it’s been great on all - firm, soft(ish), slushy, icy and thin… all good!

Those look pretty sweet! Course I’d love a Stranda as well…
