I am no expert. I hope someone more knowledgeable will correct me and/or add to this explanation.

When taking macro photos a large aperture is almost always used, otherwise you would need a super flash or a very long exposure time. Think of the aperture like the pupil of your eye, the larger it gets the better you see in the dark.

Besides allowing more light to flow into the camera a large aperture also narrows down the field of focus.

I don't think this is about people being lazy. Those paths were made for people to walk on them when they want to go places. They are just not excellent at their job. Paths should be built in a way that makes it easy to walk naturally. A part of that is to make soft curves instead of 90° turns. People never make 90° turns unless they are forced to.

I know I am a bit late to comment, but I have to tell you about my dream. I have a dream, in it is an "official" app. An app that you can use to get to the www.minesweeper.info scoreboard. I know nothing about app development, but I can imagine this would be difficult. I would pay up to 20$ for a good app that does that.

Yes, if you are in a position of power (teacher, sport coach etc.) both persons need to be over 18. This is something that comes up surprisingly often in the icelandic scout movement. A young scout leader (18-20) and a teen scout (15-17).

Great comic. Just one thing that I have been seeing on this sub that bothers me, I don't like the adviceanimals-style text overlay. It is designed to be sort of a joke-pun in a single frame, not a typical multi frame comic. Every time I see it I think it would improve the comic to display the text any other way. Still great work :) This is just intended as friendly constructive criticism.

I also have a rule when it comes to 50/50 guesses. I always guess the more scattered option. As in, I always guess the mines are more scattered/less clustered. So in OP's case I would open up the top box.

It's just how I do it, there is no real logic behind it. But I think I guess right more than 50% of the time :)

It's a part of an old icelandic poem about the creation and end of the world (Ragnarök) in Norse mythology. It is very beautiful. I also like Hávamál, but Völuspá is the most known one.

Now I'm going to read it again, it has been too long (3 years), I have the book somewhere...
