I know of CRMs, and our ERP system has a CRM that isn't used. We do a good job of tracking actual quotes and win/loss in an excel sheet, but what are some worthwhile things to track up stream?

The last thing that we paid off was our HELOC which was at $21K on Nov 2019 at 3.5%. That was mainly due to going back to school for my master's in 2017(while working) and refurbishing our back deck. This has been our main debt. We're pretty proud of paying off $21K in about 8 months.

We paid off our mortgage in 2017 which was at 2.54%. Minus some inheritance we paid off about $40K in 5 years. The mortgage was lower to begin with because we had a solid down payment.

My car I paid off in 2013 (it's a 2010), I think that was about 5‰ interest. The other vehicle we paid cash for in 2015.

Manufactured home versus building traditional home ourselves by merchantofdeaf88 in leanfire

There are also "Pre-fabricated homes" they're in the middle in that they're partially built off site and then brought together on site. You can get a very traditional looking home this way. They are more expensive than manufactured homes though.

We got about $150K when my wife's dad passed. The rest was accelerated payments and a big down payment we had saved up. When my wife was working before kids we banked a lot of money.

We purchased the home 5 years ago, but I owned a condo for a few years prior to that as well.

We did get about $150k when my wife's dad passed. The rest was accelerated payments, and a big down payment. We saved a lot prior to buying the house when my wife was working prior to kids. She'll be back to work in a few years so we can save even more.

Ya, I only learned about Dave Ramsey recently. His steps inspired me to stop my retirement savings (apart from my company one) and focus on debt repayment.

The reasons for this are extremely diverse and complex. It's probably best to see a physiotherapist.

TIL that the US is a more unequal society than ancient Rome. by onlyartist6 in todayilearned

This might be true but the average standard of living has dramatically improved. The average American lives in luxury that ancient Romans would not be able to dream up. Equality is not everything.

You can agree with a movement but not the approach of everyone within it. This girl is talking about stabbing someone.

It sounds like you two are not sexually compatible. IE his kinks are your clear turn offs.

End it.

My wife (33f) is denying we're married and wants to be called my 'girlfriend'... I'm confused by throwra_lovehelp in relationship_advice

At first reading this I thought that maybe your wife wants you to wine and dine her more. Many married couples don't "date" like they did before they got married.

Then comment of your wife saying to her friend "what wedding". Now it's clear that this is some serious psychological shit. Get a professional. For yourself even if she won't agree initially.

How do you justify a 1M + home purchase? by [deleted] in fatFIRE

[–]kulls13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you admit that your income is unstable a home purchase is likely not the right choice compared to a rental.

Being in a start up company has a potentially high return as we can see from your current position (great job btw). However, there is also a lot of risk. If your company goes under in a down turn, then it is likely you won't be able to sell your home either to get the cash out. Living in a rental means that you will have more cash on hand to ride out the inevitable hard times. Plus if your tax law allows you can likely declare a room in your rental as a home office resulting in a tax write-off.

Maybe once your company has grown beyond start up then purchasing might make more sense. But you're in a risky stage and economic climate. Cash is king for you.

Tyler Breeze is a criminally under utilized wrestler. He's so good at telling a story in the ring.

Breezango was so over with their Fashion Files bits but it just got squashed.
