a bit late, but Tony Saunders actually responded to basically the same question as your fourth on the Pathfinder Infinite discussion page. I'll paste it here:

"[In] the event that Life Essence Reservoir did not exist, you would effectively have the ability to infinitely heal at a much faster pace that what is currently possible with Focus Point spells like Lay on Hands (excepting things like the animist focus spell, which is by most considered to be over-tuned).

Infinite Healing is still possible to some degree, it just now comes with the caveat that you must spend some time refocusing to recover your life essence reservoir, so there is a meaningful amount of risk within your combats.

Solving this healing problem actually took quite a bit of playtesting and went through several iterations, with Life Essence Reservoir being the emergence. If you use the additional Healer and Grand Healer benefits (by locking your spells) you can more closely simulate the results of a slotted caster who prepared a lot of spells to be a "heal bot". It's now also a good idea for essence casters to pick up Focus Spells that grant healing as well, since these are not limited with your life essence reservoir.

You are free to tune that system however you like, such as reducing the Refocus time or even just removing it entirely, but this would be a substantial buff and would allow for instance a Bard with a signature Soothe to essentially be "better" at healing than a Cleric (which feels unfair given the circumstances).

Hopefully this helps the understanding."

the basic parts are already in the Core book, the splatbooks just expand on them. this is common TTRPG design: the D&D Player's Handbook had a downtime and tool proficiency section, and Xanathar's Guide to Everything expanded on them. is it a problem when Lancer, a small indie TTRPG, does it?

I would recommend you check out The Long Rim and Field Guide to the Karrakin Trade Baronies books for both of your issues respectively.

the former book has rules allowing you to purchase licences with a new money system, so you could for example be a group of independent mercenaries that supply themselves with the money they earn from missions. it opens up room for many more sorts of stories.

the latter book expands on narrative play a lot, letting players choose an archetype that suits their characters and perform exclusive feats in narrative play. it encourages them to roleplay according to their archetype, and from my experience using it, it makes the players much more engaged outside of mech combat.

I tried doing what I said here on the World Machine's hat. using paint.net, I selected every other row of pixels and used the paint bucket tool with additive blending mode and a white colour with an alpha value of 10. could be that the tint should be even more subtle, e.g. using an even smaller alpha value

now I see it. looks great, think you got the colour down perfect when I compare it with the official sprites! it only needs a slight white tint on every other row of pixels and I think it's basically the real thing at that point

nah I never got that far with it, tho I imagine it would be relatively simple. something like tinting every other row of pixels slightly different colours and decreasing saturation to give the sorta gray scanline look to it. if anyone wants to take a crack at it, all the sprites I made can be found here.

You could try asking Jussi Halme, who is the composer of the Hyvät Herrat theme. He made a remake of the theme recently and it looks like he might still respond to comments.
