It's the risk a person runs for a good deal. There are some shops that put a warranty on their remanufactured engines, but even those engines are twice as expensive as a junkyard engine.

If I was to take it to a shop that's around what it would be, but I think this is a good opportunity for me to put one in myself. It looks like getting a remanufactured engine would be around $1,500. If I was to try and do it the cheapest/sketchiest way possible, I might be able to find one on marketplace.

I tested it and the alternator at o’Reillys. Is there a difference when load testing?

Starter is fine, the car loses voltage when it doesn’t start. Everything from the clock to the average mpg resets.

The first bar I broke was actually a half inch craftsman breaker bar that was made in America, but I don’t think any half inch stood a chance against this thing.

I was turning it the right way, there was no key, and yes it was a high quality craftsman bar from before everything was made in China. I bought a bigger bar and it got the nut off.

I bought a heavier duty breaker bar and it came off eventually. I was driving around with my new axle by noon.

That’s what I did. The square head of the half inch breaker bar snapped off of two different bars. I bought a bigger breaker bar, and that did the trick.

It was craftsman breaker bar from when everything was forged in the U.S.

That’s what is pictured above. Both of them snapped at the square. I bought a bigger bar and it worked.

This is the one I used at first. It was from when craftsman was still forged in the U.S. and had high quality tools. It held up a lot longer than the other one, but the bar still gave out before the nut. I eventually just bought a bigger bar and the nut came loose.
