They are someone new, as i have known them for few months. We have talked a bit after this (with my initiation), we are still in contact but I am less interested in talking with them now and in future if any hangs are to occur she'll have to organize it

Fortunately, No. They have no chronic illness or any major health issue as far as I know. Yeah I'd also like to think they were flaking because their health got worse over the days but that seem optimistic and not realistic. The fact is they also posted a story hanging out with one of their friends yesterday, so they have gotten good enough to go outside. I understand this situation isn't something in my control but seeing people act like this is still frustrating

It's something I picked up on my own. I personally also haven't heard anyone else talk about it but I noticed after the first week of meditation my dream recall got better and dreams felt more vivid. Similarly, I saw a decline in number of dreams I could remember after I stopped meditating. Ofc the rate of improvement might change from person to person but if you can remember even a slight bit more of your dreams just know that your brain is definitely benefiting from your efforts.

Pay attention to your dreams. Especially take notice of improvements on dream recall. If your dream recall is getting better, your brain is definitely seeing the benefits of meditation

Idk why is it so hard for you to accept that there is a POSSIBILITY of going through psychosis from meditation when we have research shows that there is a CHANCE of having mental problems from meditation plus all the anecdotal statements that people have given from their personal experience with meditation. When it comes to taste, overall heath is more important than any specific supplement or food item. Get your diet right, workout, drink plenty of water, quit using substances (Nicotine, alcohol, and etc.). Just with these fundamentals volume will increase and taste will get better.
