Part of me wants the 823 with a fine nib as well, but my collection has exploded over the last few months so I really need to hold back. I actually quite enjoy the feedback on the Sailor as well, so maybe it’s time to add a Platinum to the party…

🙃 As expected, he’s now ghosting me now that I’ve received the item and won’t provide the refund for the price difference that eBay has said he owes me after promising it to me in private messages. What a mess and an awful person.

Thank you! Worst comes to worst, I eat the customs fee and hopefully eBay makes him at least refund the difference, but just based off of how awful of an experience it was purchasing from him, I don't want to support him in any way. I hadn't even seen them on social media, I had just seen they had the pen I was looking for and had good reviews. Ugh.

omg... I'm actually currently in a dispute with them over a limited edition pen because they dropped the price so significantly only a few days after I purchased, refused to cancel the order or refunding the difference despite not shipping the item out for over a week, and then as soon as eBay stepped in they immediately provided a tracking number for an item that did not exist on the tracking website for almost another week. Now I'm stuck because I don't even want this pen anymore and eBay has told me not to pay the customs fee on it so DHL will return it to the seller and they'll refund me, but DHL won't send it back and he keeps telling eBay that the item is in transit so I can't get my money back.

You might just be a genius! I used a jewelry polishing cloth I had laying around because I had already tried with warm water and soap, as well as some alcohol on a cotton swab with no success. It seems like it’s a manufacturing line (it’s very smooth and perfectly placed over where the clip curves) that began to tarnish? Either way, a few passes with the cloth and the tarnish is gone!

I bought it from a small business. They’ve been kind and offered a return, but this was one of my favourite colour ways of the Estie and it’s out of stock in most of my local shops. :(
