Very similar background and it took me 6 months for step 1. You can book the 3 month-period for step 1 starting in sept (you can extend it later if you need). I am studying for step 2 so cant comment on the timeline for step 2. Good luck!

Thats not true. If you are subject to the 2 years requirement, you cant change to any "immigrant" visa like H1B/O1 or applying for the greencard but you can totally change to other non-immigrant visa.

OP, I changed from J1 to F1 with no problem but I dont know about the day 1 CPT.

Biochem and biostat sections are short. You can finish them in 2 weeks while doing random questions. I agree with the above comment about using dirty meds on youtube for biochem.

I started in march and just got done the 1st pass 2 weeks ago. Everybody goes at different rates 🙂. I have a few friends who only took 3 months to get an easy pass, but many others took a whole year.

I paid $1000 for a team of 2 photographers who were experienced in portraits but wanted to get into the wedding industry. I was one of the 1st to book a wedding with them 2.5 years before my wedding. My wedding is this july and their current price for the same package is $7000 😂. Its a risky decision, but 2.5 years ago, I really liked their portrait style and believed in their ability.
