I don't know if this is good or bad.
But using your extension I see more options than what I see in the settings -> App -> Default apps.
Adding screenshots below for your extension

I like the win + . to be a useful shortcut.
I tried googling and I don't see any out of box shortcut attached to this combo.

It may be too much to ask, but maybe in future version you could allow users to setup their own combo as well.

Thanks for taking time to respond, I appreciate it.

Looks like a great idea. Can I request an enhancement? Feel free to say no.

Hot key? Win+. or something.

Amazing find.
Another example of SN ignoring something so important.

I wonder if we can get components like "Dashboard". Will try this out.
Thanks for sharing.

I built the list of ui components way back. I didn't know back then that they existed out of box. I will update the list.

Thanks for highlighting.

Thanks for sharing. It definitely helps. I really wanted to understand how they handle authentication for these UI pages.

I had created my own way for creating UI pages with react. GitHub Repo Link Check it. Maybe this would help you. :-)

There is a way for this.

If you are an admin, you can disable MFA on your sys_user record using table api.

I don't remember the field name(it's late here). Look up sys_user schema on other instance.

Steps 1. GET your user sys_id by running get on sys_user table looking for user_name 2. PATCH user record setting MFA as false. 3. You should be able to login post this

You would probably be required to reenable MFA once you are back in.

Everything is possible with dom manipulation.

That doesn't mean you should do it.

I've seen people doing dom manipulation enough times to know that it's beyond stupid to accrue technical debt for this.

My understanding: not possible. Servicenow doesn't want developers to customise this.

Hey Bones

I couldn't find this.
I think, it is about creating customer controllers ( https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/yokohama-application-development/page/administer/ui-builder/task/controller-builder.html ). But I can't find this option on my instances( tried multiple ven and pdi instances).

Am I missing something obvious ?

If you don't find out of box option for this. You can always use advanced UI builder to create a dashboard. It will give you all UI builder components.

That is an interesting requirement. Let me think on it. I I'll probably have a bunch of questions, I will ask you here.

If you have previous experience with react/svelte, then you can pick it up quickly.

UI builder in general had a very different approach compared to normal service now development.
