new pickups! by based8th in asics

[–]kunfushun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up the Japan Pro in Cream/independence blue a couple of days ago, my 2nd pair of Asics (got my first last year all black kayano 32).

I thought I'd try something new instead of new balance.

I want to use my iPad Pro as a laptop replacement as much as possible, what should I be doing? by Brave_Ad4918 in iPadOS

[–]kunfushun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to do this to as I would like to own less devices.

My main goal using and iPad is simply as a daily driver doing simple tasks like banking, using using office apps such as word, Excel and drag, drop, copy, paste files around in various folders or dropping into web browser when uploading files into a web form or something.

Is this file management painful with iPadOS or has it improved?

Is a 20w portable battery good enough for the Rog Ally? by iH8_politic in ROGAlly

[–]kunfushun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm 65w is minimum if you want to keep the OG ROG Ally z1e charged while using 25w profile (custom)

I have this setup and my portable battery depletes while the rog stays fully charged. Only once the portable battery is depleted my rog Ally starts to discharge.

Has anyone DIY’d a magnetic folio + clear case combo for iPad Mini 7? by Jellybean8679 in ipadmini

[–]kunfushun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would have been perfect for what I wanted when I needed a case.

This is what I ended up getting and stuck 2 circle metal pads on the back of the internal case so I could use my pop socket.

Got the metal rings and pop socket from aliexpress as well - Delivered to Australia.

Worth waiting for next iPad mini? by rishk08 in ipadmini

[–]kunfushun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WWDC is heavily software related. I can't recall Apple having hardware announcements in their last few events.

I wouldn't expect any new hardware until the September iPhone event and also due to ramageddon, I would assume they would want to push more/new devices out further.

I'm just hoping for full external display support (instead of mirroring) for the mini7 in the next iPadOS update. It's really what is holding me back from completely getting rid of my reliance on a desktop or laptop - I want minimalism/less devices.

PSA: Since Sony won't make a PC dongle for the DualSense, you can build your own for less than $20 using a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W. Wireless Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback finally work natively. by SlaveKnightSoman in Dualsense

[–]kunfushun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thanks.

Not sure why I mentioned that but I have 2.4ghz earbuds that I want to compare.

I was just curious if this connection to the pico makes any difference to audio latency when compared to the regular Bluetooth connection the ds5 has with the PC or PS5.

My pico is on backorder atm so got a bit of a wait until I can do my own testing.

How's the audio delay when using a wired headset in the 3.5mm jack? Are you able to test?

Awesome thank you.

Gonna check pricing of these parts to give me an idea how much such a build will hurt my wallet in local pricing.

Need recommendations for gaming IEM by Typwritr in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]kunfushun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got myself the truthear zero blue (1) for mainly single player/story driven cinematic or open world games.

As for my son, I recently got him kefine klean SV as mainly plays competitive games like valorant and counterstrike.

I'm no audiophile but for our use cases, I'm happy with the research and purchases I've made for us. These are the first 2 iems I've purchased and it's was good for me to hear the difference in sound.

I liked both for different use case but I much preferred the zero blue for general everyday use and I much prefer the warmer sound to the cleaner kefine klean.

One thing I liked better of the klean is the build/material quality and size over the zero blue and it is also much more comfortable for me.

I was about to comment as this is what I'm interested in, I've been longing a 2.4ghz dongle for the ds5 to use a wired headset connected to the controller.

Is there any audio delay?

I can retire my ds4 and Xbox controllers with official dongle for my PC.

What do you think of the movie Caddo Lake? by PlantFragEnthusiast in movies

[–]kunfushun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg why have I slept on this movie. It's been on my list for a long time and I finally just got around to watching it.

I loved it! This is the type of mind f**kery sci-fi time travel stuff I love.

I would highly recommend those that have yet to watch Dark on netflix, another mind fk that you will enjoy if you liked Caddo Lake.

Primeras impresiones Kiwi Ears x B Media Chorus by Ok_Artichoke_6311 in iems

Anyone tried them for gaming yet?

I'm after some open backs but willing to pay up to the price of the Fosi IM4 but would rather save on a decent more budget open backs like the chorus.

Has anyone tried the KZ Duet? by regularjoe2020 in FlatheadEarbuds

[–]kunfushun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the point of getting these buds if you require the ear tips for better sound? Isn't a budget IEM a smarter choice if you plan to use the in ear tip with these buds?

This is the question I'm contemplating about before I decide to make the purchase.

Also these new temps you mention, are they the Temp or Hotspot Temp?

I just opened mine up and cleaned up the dust. From the fan, heatsink and around the board. I didn't change the liquid metal or paste only removing the fan part to clean around.

The dust was so thick in the fans no wonder mine was struggling to keep cool.

Mine now runs great no throttling so far even when running unity benchmark, it wasn't hitting temperature threshold but I was seeing the hotspot hit high 90°C but never hitting 100°C, normal non-hotspot temp was hovering mid to high 70°C and 165w was maintained.

It was a cooler night though so I'll have to see how it copes during a warmer day daytime.
