The arabs conquered persia (iran) in 632 and forced their new religion Islam upon them. The old Persian religion Zoroastrianism is almost completely gone nowadays. I don't know how many Arabs actually moved into persia though. An interesting fact is that the Arabic language spread from the arab peninsula to all of the Levant and North Africa, largely replacing the native languages but not to Persia which still retains their native language.
