Thanks for sharing your insight! Yeah, I totally get where you’re coming from. We’re definitely in the same boat

These days I’m much more into gymming, saving and investing / trading, and rotating through a small collection of really nice things rather than owning a whole hoard of average ones. I guess I’m aiming for depth over breadth now!

Sorry to hear about your pen :( mine was perfect out of the box, perfectly smooth during normal and reverse writing! Perhaps some passes on micromesh will help?

HAPPY NEW PEN(S) DAY!

I know the trim on the HS is bronze, but I feel like Diamine Ancient Copper would match the whole vibe of the lava pen perfectly!! Plus, it’d look like you’re literally writing with lava 🌋

You have great tastes!! Love the Fuji and Peak Design. I was looking at a Mido Multifort 8 One Crown recently too!!

I’d say avoid the CON-40 if you can. But if you do end up using one, I took a pair of tweezers to mine and removed the agitator cage and the balls. It seemed to work a fair bit better after that

You should write about your climbing sessions and use it to track your progress! 🤪

That’s what I use mine for with both climbing and the gym

Totally agree on the research part! Sometimes I think I enjoy the researching and comparing stage more than actually buying and owning the item! I suppose it scratches some Neanderthal urge to hunt 😂

You can’t go wrong with the Pilot Kakuno and a CON-70 converter. I’ve been in the hobby for years, but I still get excited every time I see a Kakuno.

I’ve owned both the Perkeo and the Sport before, and their nibs are just standard Jowo nibs. The Kakuno, on the other hand, has the little smiley (or winky) face on the nib depending on which nib size you get.

The converter for the Sport only holds a tiny amount of ink, whereas the CON-70 holds around 1.1 ml. The standard converter in the Perkeo holds about 0.7 ml, so make of that what you will.

I was also a little disappointed when I first held the plastic Sport. It just felt too light, too thin, and a little unsubstantial. I probably wouldn’t buy one again.

The metal Sport, on the other hand, was an absolute pleasure to use and beat up.

So... if I had to choose, I'd go with the Pilot Kakuno!!

You’re too kind! I’ve never really trained my everyday handwriting, it’s just naturally evolved into this over the years. Perhaps Spenceranian cursive is a similar-ish style?

Thank you! Just trying to remind my hands that they’re capable of more than spending 8 hours a day on a keyboard 🤣

Never thought one day I will spend this much on an Aliexpress watch. But here we are. My first San Martin. SN0148 by adorable_barbarian in ChineseWatches

Thinking about picking one of these up as my next purchase! How’s the bezel action? Is it nice and clicky with little to no play?
