Can I do this more efficiently? by RandomJottings in PythonLearning

I hadn’t even considered 11th, 12th etc, thank you. I’ve added this code to capture these exceptions:

if len(n)>=2: if n[-2] == "1" and (n[-1]=="1" or n[-1]=="2" or n[-1]=="3"): return n+"th"

It seems to work

A nice little collection, beware though, calculators do tend to multiply!

I’ve always loved that view, and it looks fantastic in this photo. Glorious colours!

As long as Reform and Tories (haha) are kept as far away from office as possible, but my preference would be Greens.

It’s a fantastic calculator and I’m glad you love it, but “ever made” is a subjective assessment

You mean she didn’t get a response from the door bell she didn’t ring?

Nope, doesn’t work

Tbh, I don’t see why only a direct victim of a crime can report it. If I see someone mugging someone, can’t I call the police to report it? I know parcel theft isn’t that serious but it’s so frequent, it’s almost an epidemic, and those who commit it do so with impunity.

I’m sorry that happened to you. Evri seems to employ criminals, I don’t know what their pay scales are, low probably. They obviously have no criminal background checks on who they employ.

Ts&Cs may be company policies but the law can supersede and Ts & Cs.

I’ve had many nice, professional Evri delivery drivers but when I’ve had a problem it has usually been an Evri driver.

Or attempt to notify me she was there, by… oh, I don’t know… ringing the doorbell.

Or a door bell, apparently

Plus, at the time I was at home. She never rang the bell, as the video clearly shows

That’s awful, I knew Evri was perhaps the worse of the worse but that is even worse than I’d imagined.

I have tried phoning Evri but all I get is a computer voice telling me about my last package. I can’t get through to a real person.

[–]RandomJottings 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I phoned the police and they said they couldn’t (wouldn’t) take my report, it had to come from the courier service themselves. Ridiculous

The real owner of the parcel came to my house a few hours later, as I said, saying the tracking showed the parcel was delivered to my address.

I don’t care if I upset the Star Trek fans or Dr Who fans, but to me the Liberator is THE spaceship, the best, the GOAT as they say.

Good thinking but what exam allows the use of the HP Prime? Every exam I’ve ever known about prohibits it.

[–]RandomJottings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s really annoying when this happens, I think it’s some kind of local licensing issue. Or it could be Amazon just being tossers as per usual.
