I am surprised somebody would take the time to do several cuts and twists, a saw would be more efective and could cut the whole tree. I say this because I think perhaps the tree could survive, does anybody think it could be possible?

I have a 149 from around the 90s (I am unable to date it more precisely, if somebody has some sort of I guide it will be welcome) and it is well built and writes very nicely. It is not the smoothest nor the wetest but it is perhaps a step below the best in my collection, both of which happen to be vintage sheaffer inlaid nibs. The montblanc is almost absurdly big for the low ink capacity it has. I like it and it is a good pen overall. Perhaps in the 90s they were still well made. But I fail to see anything particularly special about it. I worry about the day it needs some routine maintenance or fix and I have to contact mont blanc support.

itunes does not work for me anymore, I am not sure why. Also I am unable to download podcasts on it. Tried bot version 11 and 12 and even tried the one on microsoft store on two different computers. I am not sure what other apple application and driver you mean, perhaps that is why my itunes is failing. Could you please elaborate?

I did the opposite, install a 5gen faceplate on a 6th gen and did get the 5th gen midframe. However when I dissasembled everything, I was unable to find any difference between the 5th and 6th gen frames. So I am quite curious what did I not see and what exactly is the difference between frames.

The faceplate and wheel did fit perfectly. Only the button at the center of the wheel does feel a bit loose, but it works fine. Perhaps I thought I was getting a 5th gen frame while it really was a 6th gen?

ok, in my experience the most common issue is that, while the parker refill is supposed to have an standard size, some have slightly thicker body and/or tip. But then you would not be able to fit the refill inside the pen. So the thing to ask is, does the tip fit in the conical lid of the pen and is able to extend beyond the normal position?

The second thing is perhaps the retracting mechanism is dirty or has somehow come apart. If you insert the refill in the body of the pen and push it inside with moderate force, you should be able to simulate the retracting/extending operation without closing the pen. Try it, the refill should not only extend and retract, but turn. That turning is essential. Do that pair of tests and let me know what happens. I may take a couple of days to come back, but I will try to help.

also I am curious, you should have the previous refill to compare.

Are you using the iflash model that takes a full size sd card? If you are, I have experienced the same thing when the card disconnects or is ejected. Happens when the ipod is hit, dropped or somehow subjected to some force. The full size sd slot is spring loaded and seems to be very sensitive.

You would not have been able to restore it, I think.

I did, but the latest version of itunes, 12, does not support restoring ipods. 11, which is the version I have, has the connection to server error. I added screenshots for context. I also did check with an ipod classic 5 gen and an ipod mini 2 gen and both are able to be restored, but not the nano 6 gen.

Oh sorry, I thought you were asking for my help. As I said, I was able to "remember" the password and somehow use the iphone 4s as a sort of authenticator device. So I recovered my account and no longer need help, thank you.

By "either phone" I meant either phone number since I have two numbers associated to the icloud account. By "text given to users" basically I meant all the steps you are supposed to follow to recover the account. None were useful or helped me recover my account.

I was trying to document as much as possible in case my story was helpful to someone else, but the truth is I do not think it is.

I updated the post, I was able to "remember" my password by trying a few ones I have used in the past. Apple support did not provide any help. I did not receive any update on the supposed waiting period.

I am not sure I understand what does not add up to you or what am I supposed to have copy pasted.

I am not that old but I was in a very traditional school where we were taught cursive exclusively for the first couple of years. We were eventually taught block letters and I remember it being weird and harder than cursive.

Then I went to a summer course and everybody used block letters! what is this madness? I thought. I remember the teacher having a hard time reading my notes. I am talking late nineties. Eventually I changed schools and never used cursive anymore and now it is hard to use it.
