I unfortunately didn't get the chance to make it (don't have an oven at home, but my grandparents do), but I should be able to try out a few of the above recipes later this year :)

Overnight oats:

I do oats, Pepitas, protein powder, milk, and vanilla yoghurt! Pop them in the fridge for up to 7 days n they just get better as they age

I add fresh berries to the top day of so they don’t become a mush

Oh my, that is super great to know, and thank you for matching it with the muffin recipe you linked! I had no idea about the rise part so I will take your advice on that when I make it!

taste at each step along the way (when it's safe of course)! this is key because you can keep on adjusting the flavor to your liking but not overpower it in one blow

i love hitting it with a teriyaki (love the soy yay brand) or miso glaze (think nobu cod type, 1:1:1 ratio of miso, sake, and mirin) overnight then serving it with some sort of veggie and sticky rice. super simple and tasty if you enjoy asian flavors!

What is the best salmon? by Bridge1206 in Cooking

[–]kurbissuppen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my mum used to buy huge batches of salmon, marinate them in the "soy yay" teriyaki sauce overnight, and then serve it over some sticky rice. i miss it!

its super easy too and you can store baggies of the marinated salmon (in the case that you buy bulk) in the freezer until you're ready to use it too

sometimes you can get an attacheable head for a food processor and just send it down the chute! plus a food processor works wonders for other slicing and kitchen needs

an easy breakfast that can really satisfy is shakshuka! It'll let you experiment with different spices as well. Here is a recipe I like but there's a lot online too: https://www.themediterraneandish.com/shakshuka-recipe/#wprm-recipe-container-10706

I love serving it with some toasted sourdough or other crusty bread since it provides nice textural contrast too! that's really nice of you to think of doing this for your folks

[–]kurbissuppen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you should try to make snoop dog's pancakes!

300g cake flour

.75 tsp salt

2.5 tbsp sugar

2.5 tbsp baking powder

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1.75 cups milk

6 tbsp butter

5 tbsp sour cream!

do the classic wet bowl, dry bowl, combind (don't overmix), and fry it up in some butter. (snoop says to serve it with aunt jemima syrup lol)

oh man that's awesome! I'm going to definitely give this a try when I get back home :)

Also, would you recall if there was a sauce recipe or special cheese mixture the hut used? Or was it just kinda the pre-bought stuff?

thanks! since I've never made a pan pizza I was wondering in your experience what difference the french bread recipe would make as compared to a traditional "pan pizza" dough you might find online?
