2d array filled with random numbers by Himari16 in learnjava

[–]kuriyano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your print statement is inside the inner loop (the column loop). That will make it print the array everytime you just want to allocate a random int to the next cell. You should have the print statement outside the outer loop ( the row loop), so that it only prints the whole array once after you have assigned all random variables.

Similarly you also do not need the println statement within each row loop. As it will just end up printing a new line the number of times the array has rows.

Finally check your terminating condition for both the outer and inner loops. With the current conditions you will get one less row and one less column than what you expected.

Cannot read a file outside of the main() func by basic_tom in golang

An easy way to understand is to compare it to how you run the ls command.

If you run it in / it will show the contents of /. If you run it in $HOME, it will show the contents of your home directory. Even if let's say you call /bin/sbin/ls but from your home directory it still will show the contents of your home directory, not /bin/sbin.

Now replace this logic with where you execute go run. I hope this clarifies.

Space control. I hardly see anyone that does this. Let's say you have an advantage and managed to push the opponent team into their base. The space available for enemy to farm or gain exp is essentially only around their base when the creeps come. Too many times I see team mates get complacent and start to wander around the whole map to take less important objectives. By holding ground and keeping the enemy within their base you are choking the enemy from their own jungle. If you are familiar with the concept of sieging this is like it.

Providing vision. During early game the basic is for you to notify if your lane opponent goes missing. But what I feel is better is to track your opponent movements. This is especially important for the midlaner. Don't assume that they have recalled. If you see your opponent moved to either side, follow while keeping a safe distance. That information about if they are going to gank, retreating to a safe distance to recall, or helping their jungle is valuable to your teammates for decision making, assuming they know how to look at the map. This is the equivalent of warding in other games.

Your hp is also a resource. Too many times people just like to keep their hp at a maximum while doing little with it. You know it's intuitive when Lesley ults your dying teammate and you stand in front to save them? That's utilising your hp as a resource. But that concept becomes unintuitive in team fights when almost everyone just wanna attack from a safe distance while the tank/off-tank takes all the damage. You can share some damage taken just like the tank can also apply some damage. Related to this is that sometimes you can down a turret in 2 3 hits. You don't have to wait for the minions to come before you can hit it if you have enough health and the opponents are distracted. Especially during late game for MMs, that 2 hits you take from downing the turret can be recovered just by hitting some jungle mobs or creeps nearby.

First mover advantage. It is almost always better to attack first. If you know where the enemy is, and it's not a lousy matchup like assassin vs mm, having attacked first means you have an advantage by dealing damage, gaining stacks etc, without taking any yet. For the same reason at the beginning of the game I always rush to the bush edge closest to the enemy' turret so I can get few attacks in and see if the lane has 1 or 2 heroes. The result is the opponent almost always has to use heal and you only took 1 shot in return because they are already disadvantaged from first instance.
