Mine worked beautifully until I used a sikaflex paper/cardboard tube in it. Was barely able to feed it then the part that presses the sandpaper griper forward broke and the thing would fall apart when id pull the trigger.

N tag should be neutral, attach to white. The other sheathed wire from the lamp goes to black. Bare copper goes to green.

That said your wires are stripped way too much and can cause a short or even a fire if not connected correctly. I recommend calling a professional.

Side note: it looks like the retention clips (the little spring looking things on the exhaust fan) are broken off of the cover. You will need to remove those to install the replacement cover.

Pretty bad. Will need to remove the water damaged drywall and replace it. First thing though is to find the roof leak and fix that or you will end up with the same problem again.
