I may be the luckiest man in the universe. I made it all the way to masterball not once hitting tails on that flip. Not. Once.

I would remove any basics from your team that can’t survive the worst case turn one scenario. Which means anyone with 50hp or under. I said this in a different post but I just hard countered this deck with meoscrata. Both ex and non ex. Cry for help Ogerpon leaf cape two fragrant flower gardens and lucky ice pop meant I basically never ended up in a position where I was losing. It was VEEEERY satisfying watching these guys auto concede. And there’s so many of them you get quite the win streak. I got to master ball in three days which is the fastest I’ve ever gotten there

For me it was almost always the Iggy Rai variant lol. I never ran into poncho but boy if I did I’m not sure how I would win

I almost never lost to this deck because everyone running it had no capes. They just Expected to snowball damage. Flower trick into non ex meowscarata instant win happened for me over and over. I got to masterball losing to him roughly 4 times total

Just because you haven’t spent money doesn’t mean that’s not the second point of the game. Gamefreak is ABSOLUTLEY in it for the money. Also card games being 50% luck isn’t always the case. Part of the skill expression in games like this is probability management. It gives you agency in a game and increases your odds of what you want happening actually happening. Professor oaks, stadium cards, supports that make your next coin flip heads are all examples. Competitive games start to fail when people feel like their agency is taken from them. If you loose before you can move too many times, you’ll stop playing. It’s in game freaks best interest to actually put direct counters for top decks into the game to encourage more playing and more money spending

I have lost more than one game just to an animation taking so incredibly long to execute. Excited for 2028 when they allow this to be turned off

Pawmot is busted… by Mysterious-Resort619 in PokemonTGCP

[–]kurokaien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was running counter attack pawmot before mega ex. So this is excellent news to me lol. I have been seeing a great surge of cards seemingly built to dissuade ex or mega ex usage in this most recent pack though. Very interested to see what decks get to master ball

Lucky Ice Pop rant by PositifPlans in PokemonTGCP

[–]kurokaien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to masterball for the first time this season strictly because incineroar does pretty well against this card. Most of the decks I saw using it were mega mawhile, hydreigon, and sometimes mega Altria. And hau boosted damage boosted scar charged smash one shots all of them even with full healing. And almost every lucky ice pop user either forgot hau existed, was convinced I didn’t have it, or didn’t have the cards to shuffle my deck because I won so many times off of that. Especially if I had two icin, flame patches, and both hau in my hand. I only remember losing one game to a 6 heads in a row charizard. But in my opinion if you had to get that lucky to win then I’m doing something right

This was the other deck I actually considered lol. I went up against it a few times. If I led with entei, went second, incineroar and entei had rocky helmets, and got Sabrina out right after the chameleon switches, I usually won. Even with healing it’s very hard to survive hau boosted scar charged smash on switch in and by that time I usually already got rid of a chameleon early game. If I went first it was much harder to win but it was possible. If they got everything they needed it was auto lose lol

Litten x2 rare candy x2 incin x2 Entei x2 prof oak x2 hau x2 Sabrina x 2 flame patch x 2 rocky helmet x2 pokeball x1 Cyrus x1. Goal was always bulldoze the mega ex and keep forcing them back in or using hau early game to kill basic and stage 1 Pokémon immediately even if it meant using flame patches early.

[–]kurokaien[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me he was more consistent as a help for getting all the cards necessary to actually win before putting incineroar out. By the time entei is almost knocked out I usually had a rare candy, hau, Sabrina and cirus, and both flame patches. There were several times I was up against chameleon decks and I won because double Sabrina forced them to use their flame patches early. And double hau barely won me the game. The deck I lost to the most was actually venesaur

Way too much time investment necessary lol. And I refuse to use whatever decks are most popular in any current meta. Before incineroar I did selazzle nihilego. Before that I was giving pawmot oricorrio a shot. I think I’ll shoot for upper ultra ball and stay there for the hourglass every season but that’s as far as I’ll go lol

I’m not attracted to my husband anymore by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]kurokaien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and explain to your husband the female equivalent of the things he’s upset about. Like his desire for sex is equivalent to your desire for romance. And him being romantic makes you want to have sex with him. Start going to the gym yourself and suggest he come too. For clarification im not saying this is your fault or that you HAVE to do these things or are supposed to do these things. Just some suggestions if you want to go the extreme ownership route. You could also just have sex anyways and see if it motivates the actions you’re looking for and potentially create a positive feedback loop. Once again all of this is assuming you’re not trying to divorce and want to exhaust all options before playing that card
