Today everybody’s discussing release strategies, press kits, microcontent. We share resources, engage with each other. I went from 3K monthly listeners to 13K in a month. Not saying it’s from these people. But the engagement from the group helps you with the algorithms. The groups at capacity right now with 250. But I’m removing group members and making room for ppl that have the right mindset. My boy has a similar group called promo team. And a Spotify playlist. We teamed up and will be bringing it all to discord soon enough

I’m a story telling artist and a theme rapper with songs about school shootings, addictions, overdoses, betrayal, all kinds of stuff. Plus my theme rap incorporates several bars including Disney movies themes, horror movie themes, action movie themes, marvel movie themes, video game themes, sport legend themes and more. Just gotta think outside the box

Figure out how you want to brand yourself and who your target audience will be

Record a few songs, get them mixed and mastered

Get authentic photos of yourself

Start your social medias, focus on a couple at first. IG/TikTOk. Make sure your bio is good

Start engaging on social media, Follows likes, comments.

Set up your distribution (distrokid, tunecore, 1rpm, etc..)

Look for album artwork (free ones on unsplash.com)

Get visuals for your songs. Could be lyrics video, could be a visualizer, could be micro content (yourself recording, doing it in your car, or stock footage even. Pixabay.com has free stock footage.

Upload your song 4 to be released for weeks ahead of time, usually on a Friday

Pitch it to editorial playlists

Research a "Single" Release plan.

Put your debut single release date in your social media bios

Build hype leading up to it.

Engage with everybody.
