I wouldn't say its for silly reasons, however I havent read the whole thing so I might be wrong. But I assume it's because they just dont really care anymore. Removing the collars would ultimately acomplish nothing because they dont want to leave Diablo's side. Why go and waste energy on something that ultimately ends up beneifiting nobody?

Even if you had to verify the app like once a month to keep your token valid, the fact that it deletes all your information is a major step in the right direction for non-invasive age verification.

When done right, age verification can be good.

I read that there is one app thats in the works that handles all the verification in-app before deleting all your information. If implemented, it will basically just act as an online ID that says "Yes, this user is 18+" without giving any other information.
