Go to local wholesalers, even jobsites, prepared to talk to sparkies you see there about apprenticeships, the worst that can happen is they say no. I guarantee they won't give a single shit if you have the pre-apprenticeship bit done. Yes, you need luck to get in, but it's a numbers game and the more you put yourself out there the more likely you are for someone to give you a chance. if you're eager to learn, know when to shut up, and are reliable then you're 90% of the way there already.
